Prologue

Somin stood nervously, shifting her weight from foot to foot. She had been called to the CEO's office. Were they having second thoughts about accepting a female trainee?

"Come in." A voice called, and Somin pushed open the door.

The CEO and founder of BigHit, Bang Sihyuk, known as Hitman Bang among idols and trainees was there, alongside a man Somin didn't recognize.

"Jeon Somin, 4 years ago I took a risk and allowed you into BigHit." Somin nodded, too scared to even speak.

"And you've been good with keeping up. I think you're ready to debut." This certainly was not the conversation she expected. Somin gasped, covering her mouth to stifle her excitement. She figured that jumping up and down while squealing wasn't the most professional thing to do. After the initial euphoria subsided, she had a ton of questions.

"Wait, solo? In a group? Will there be other girls?" She asked, as Hitman Bang shook his head.

"You're in a group of 8. The other 7 have been informed of you, but they don't know you're a..." the man said, before trailing off. By the look on his face, he hadn't been informed either.

"Wait, they don't know I'm a girl?" Somin said, confused.

"You'll have time to get acquainted. But first you have to get moved in." the man said, standing up.

"Wait, when will i meet them? Are the rooms coed? What about the showers?" Somin asked. Nobody answered.

"C'mon, lets go." the man said, gesturing for her to follow. Somehow, even though she hadn't even met her band mates, Somin knew she was in for the long haul.
