Chapter 5

Two weeks later, Somin was being shaken awake by Jungkook.

"Come on, Somin, we're having a meeting today."

She was awake in 2 seconds. "WHAT?! That's today?"

"Yeah, we said in the group chat. We're going by to pick stage names."

Somin sprang to her feet, running around the dorm like a headless chicken in an effort to look presentable. By some unholy miracle, she managed to be ready in 15 minutes, including hair and makeup, and ran out to see Namjoon, Seokjin, Hoseok, and Jungkook waiting.

"Might as well take a seat, we're still waiting on the others." Namjoon said, as Seokjin drummed his fingers on the tabletop.

"Where is everyone?" Somin said, brushing back her hair.

"Tae's trying to find his keys, Yoongi is always the last out of bed, and Jimin is washing his hair." Seokjin said.

"Ah okay. Since Hitman Bang's having us choose stage names, what do you think you'll choose?" Hoseok said, as everyone tapped their chin in thought.

"Hmm, I don't want mine to be much different from my real name." Seokjin said. Jungkook nodded as Namjoon chimed in.

"I actually like the name of one of my old songs, Rap Monster." In the midst of the conversation, Tae rushed in, followed by Yoongi.

"G'morning guys!" Tae smiled, as Yoongi grumbled, still a bit tired.

"Ah, hi Tae!" Jungkook responded, as Jimin came out from the bathroom.

"Well, looks like that's everyone. The van will be here in about 5 minutes." Namjoon said, as everyone nodded.

Eventually, everyone arrived at Bighit, as Somin gently knocked on the door.

"Come in."

As they all filtered in, everyone took their seats. Hitman Bang clasped his hands together, looking at everyone.

"I'm sure you've been working hard."

'Harder than you can imagine.' Somin said internally.

"Alright, have you all decided on names? I know Yoongi and Namjoon have chosen. Suga and Rap Monster, correct?" He said as they nodded. Somin raised an eyebrow. Suga? She'd have to ask about the meaning later.

"Jungkook and Jimin, you want to keep your names and Seokjin, we want you to keep yours too." Jungkook and Jimin nodded, as Seokjin stood up.

"Ya, Hitman bang ssi, I wanna be called Jin."

"I guess that'll be alright." he scribbled in his notebook.

"Taehyung? Somin? Any ideas?" Tae nodded.

"Well, I want something that sounds cool. I'm thinking V."

"Alright, that could work. What about you, Somin?"

She was shocked. "Oh, I didn't know I was getting a stage name."

"Yeah, your name is the same as Jeon Somin from Kard, so we don't want any misunderstandings."

"Ah, okay.... Hmmm..."

"Any nicknames or something?" Hitman Bang tilted his head.

"Hm, well, people used to call me Minnie in school." Somin said.

"I like the way that sounds. Hoseok, we want to outwardly show a bright, sunny persona. Would J-hope be alright?" Hoseok beamed, giving a thumbs up.

"Alright then, I'll be sure to keep these on record. You can go now." Upon thanking him, everyone rose from their seats, bowed and left, aimlessly wandering outside.

"Hmm, now what?" Tae said, as Jimin shrugged.

"There's a corner store around here. We can grab something quick." Seokjin said as everyone nodded in agreement. They had planned to get something cheap. Hopefully, this whole idol thing was successful enough to turn a profit.
