Chapter 3

After hours passed with no sign of rest, Somin sat up in bed, getting up to go to the studio. Creeping down the hallway and turning on the bathroom light, she quickly stepped in the shower, turning on the cold water to get her blood pumping. Her sadness from earlier had given way to a seething bitterness.

"Think I'll be a liability, huh?" She growled, turning off the water and wrapping herself in a towel.

"Just you wait, I'll show you."

Trying her best not to wake anyone, Somin tiptoed around, looking for her hoodie and leggings. Pulling the hood over her head, she started toward the door, before hearing a door behind her open.

"Somin ah?" Somin stood up and looked at Jimin. "Ah, sorry oppa, didn't mean to wake you. I was just headed to the studio."

"Ah, it's fine, I couldn't sleep. Hey, mind if I tag along?"

"Sure, if you'd like to." He flashed a thumbs up, and as he went to get dressed, leaving Somin to ponder how someone could possibly have that much pep at 4:30 in the morning. After a few minutes, he was dressed and they both walked out.

As they navigated the streets, Somin began talking to Jimin.

"So uh, Jimin, how long have you been under BigHit?"

"Around a year. What about you?" Jimin said.

"Hmm... Coming up on four years, I think. Let's just say my dancing needed improvement." she nodded.

"Well, you're trying to learn the debut dance and song, right? I don't remember everything, but can show you the stuff I do know."

"Oh, that'll help a lot! Thanks, Chimchim!" Somin smiled brightly. Eventually, they arrived at the dance studio and after a few warmups, got started. Jimin was very helpful, and had shown her almost the entire dance.

"5,6,7,8... Aish, I don't remember this part." Jimin pouted, sitting down.

"Ah, it's fine. You really helped me out Jiminie."

"Ah, I bet Hobi hyung knows!" Jimin said, pulling out his phone.

"Alright, Hoseok's on his way." Jimin said, before looking at Somin. "Wait, are you in the group chat?"

"....Group chat?" Somin shook her head.

"Here, I'll add you." After Somin gave her number, he added her.
