Chapter 4

"No need to fear, Hobi is here!" Hoseok said, walking in the door. Somin stood up.

"Thanks for coming. Do you remember what comes after this?" Somin said, doing the move.

"Ah, Jiminie's helping you? You're doing good." Hobi slightly nodded. He did the next few steps, before waiting for the others to imitate him. As he watched their attempts, he sighed, crossing his arms.

"No Somin, not like that. The left foot, not the right. Try again."

After about 45 more attempts, Hoseok smiled.

"Alright, it needs polish, but we can work on that." Somin nodded. It was clear he wanted nothing less than their best. "Let's move on to the next part, okay?"

After four more hours of practice, they ran through it one last time, trying to stay synchronized.

"Okay, I think you guys did well, wanna take a breather-"

"I'm fine, thanks." Somin said, pressing the play button on the radio again to start over.

This went on for about two or three weeks. Somin waking up in the wee hours of the morning and returning late at night. She worked hard, often staying late into the night to work on her singing and dancing. A few nights later, Somin overheard a second conversation.

"I think she can do it. Especially since she almost practiced herself to death to show us she could take it." Jimin said with a sigh.

"Yeah, I guess so. I'm just glad she's taking this seriously." Yoongi replied.

"She's making an effort to learn everything. The song, the dance, even her stage presence has improved." Namjoon nodded.

"That's nice."

Somin smiled softly as she drifted off.
