i know lots of emo trans/nonbinary kids rename themselves mikey (after mikey way, duh) and it's really making me laugh because no one will ever rename themself gerard and it makes me laugh
like i see a couple kids going by "frankie" for the obvious reasons and i get the nickname "ray" from my deadname so i don't count as one of those kids
my mom spells my nickname as "rae" and she insists that i do it too because it's the feminine version but fuck that my gender is hasn't existed since 2018 baby !! i am not real !! the rules of existence don't apply to me !!
SOOOO in conclusion no one wants to be named gerard :)
