There were two men annoying the living shit out of you.
One named Taehyung, who was holding your hand, and proving himself to be a talented liar.
Another who you didn't even think had a name, since he's been talking to Taehyung for 20 minutes and he hasn't even once mentioned himself. The amount of times Taehyung had tried turning the conversation to the way too nosy man and the techniques this guy used to not talk about himself was astonishing.
And boring.
"Maybe I could get a couple's deal for the both of you?" The waiter asked you, a little friendly chuckle coming out.
"Oh, please," Taehyung let out his boxy smile, "We're a little tight on money right now." He playfully whispered.
"Oh, I bet." The waiter's smiled.
"Can we get our food?" You asked, interrupting their irritatingly long conversation. They both picked up on how irked you were and stared at you for a moment before continuing, "She's a little cranky." Taehyung covered for you, "But we have been talking a for a little."
The waiter nodded and took out his notepad, "What would you like today?"
You skimmed over the menu, "Some wings are good for me."
The waiter nodded and looked at Taehyung, who was taking unnecessarily long. You kicked Taehyung from under the table, earning a painful groan from him. "I'll just get a grilled cheese."
The waiter happily nodded and walked back to the kitchen, and you kicked Taehyung from under the table once again.
"Ouch!" He yelped, "What was that for?"
"Why would you talk to a random man so much?" You noticed you two were still hand in hand, and immediately yanked your away from his. "And lie so much?" You were whisper yelling now.
"What was I supposed to say?" Taehyung questioned. "Oh we're here to kill one of your regulars, you know a Lisa Monoban?" He said sarcastically.
"You stay vague, never go into specifics." You reached across the table and flicked his forehead, and he held it in pain.
"Okay! I get it! Stop hurting me!" He whisper yelled.
You only scowled and sat back with your arms crossed, this guy was unbelievable.
It took a long time to get the food, which was understandable since the diner was pretty populated. You'd assumed that there must've been an unimaginable amount of people before you, but you noticed that people who came after you got their food before you. Even Hoseok and Seulgi, who'd been sitting at the other side of the restaurant.
Appalled by the lack of good service, you called your way too friendly waiter and asked about the food.
"Ah! I'll get it right away." And he scurried off to the kitchen.
"We'll get it to go!" Taehyung yelled from the table, looking at his watch, "Lunch time's pretty much over, and she hasn't shown up."
You noticed a weird amount of people glaring at the table, watching you and Taehyung attentively. You guessed they just didn't like how much Taehyung talked to the waiter, so you brushed the thought off when the waiter brought your food in to-go plates with a wide smile on his face.
"Sorry for the wait, orders got mixed up."
Taehyung nodded and took out his wallet to pay for the meal, but when he did, the waiter stopped him. "No, no, no need. You were too nice even when you were here for hours."
They went back and forth for another 10 minutes, "Just put the wallet away, Taehyung." You told him.
He listened to you and endlessly thanked the waiter, when he picked up the plates, when he walked out of the restaurant, and even waved at the waiter when he got in the car.
"Anything?" You asked Ryujin, who popped into view from the backseat.
"Nothing too weird, except that a bunch of cars came after you guys sat down and everything."
You nodded and ruled it as a coincidence, "We couldn't find Lisa, so I guess you were right, Taehyung."
"Thank you for my credit." He only smiled.
"Don't get too proud of yourself, it was a lucky guess."
"It's called intuition." He leaned toward you, "Only people who aren't bitches have it."
"Are you saying I'm a bitch?"
"Unfortunately, yes." He started the car, following Hoseok back to headquarters.
When you all got back and gathered in the back room, Irene was asking all about what happened. "What?" She was obviously confused when you broke the news, "That's impossible, that's all I found on Lisa Manoban."
"Sorry, you must've had the wrong place." Taeyong told her, "It's okay, we all make mistakes."
"I'm gonna do some more research, for now you can rest." Irene waved the rest of you out of her office, you all complied and walked out.
