Chapter 10

Taehyung stood tall, dark-haired, soaking wet, and absolutely silent in your home. Taking off his uncomfortably damp shoes and leaving them on the floor, he was about to step on the floor with his socks, which were also wet.

"Take your socks off too." You told him before he wet your floors.

A little "oh" came out before he silently removed his socks and stepped in your home.

"Um, you could take a shower if you want, I'll have some warm clothes for you."

He silently nodded and walked off even though he didn't know where the bathroom was, you guessed he was just gonna look around for it.

But something was off about Taehyung, you hadn't known him for long but you did know he wasn't usually in a bad mood, and even if he was, he was never quiet about it.

It was astonishing how Taehyung had only said a few words to you in the time he'd walked in, which lead you to two questions.

Why was he here and why was he so quiet?

You had some men's clothes somewhere from a place you don't remember, Taehyung took a pretty long time to shower so you made sure to wash all of them and put them in the dryer.

You were thinking of something to eat when you heard the bathroom door open. Not too long after you saw him walk past, and you had to admit you were taken aback.

The white towel only covered his lower half, while the rest of his body was very visible. You never knew Taehyung had abs, but there they were in all their tan glory. His hair was weighed down with water and drops of it went down to his very toned abdomen and down to places you shouldn't see or discuss. Toned arms dangled at his sides and were attacked to broad shoulders, which led to a neck and continued up to a face of perfection.

"Y/N?" He said, knocking you out of your trance and back into reality.

"Yeah?"

"I don't wanna sound too needy but," He hesitated, "Where are my clothes?"

"Oh," You quickly paced toward the couch, where warm pajamas were laying. "Here you go, and you can get dressed in the room down the hall and to your right."

"Thank you," A quick and polite smile was what you saw before he walked away.

The idea of hot chocolate and pizza rolls popped into your head, and an excited you went into the kitchen and looked for the required things.

Taehyung POV

While putting my clothes on, tonight's events continued to play through my mind. And it made me never want to live alone again.

At first, I was on the fence about coming here. I wasn't sure if I'd be welcomed too well, or if I'd be able to even enter the huge house.

Y/N was a very confusing boss, but at least she helped me, and she didn't even know why I was here.

There's no way I'll never owe her.

I got dressed in the warm pajamas and opened the door, immediately getting the scents of hot chocolate and,

Pizza rolls?

I walked toward the peculiar smell, and was led to the kitchen. Where I found Y/N pouring some hot coco packs into mugs and stirring them, while something in the microwave just finished.

A sigh came out and a seemingly maniacal grin formed on her face, then she picked up the pizza rolls and set them on the coffee table, doing the same with the mugs right after.

"Oh, Taehyung." She waved for me to come over and I followed her to the couch, sitting right in front of the food and drink.

"I made some hot chocolate and pizza rolls." She awkwardly said, earning a little chuckle from me. "After you came I realized I was hungry, and you need some warmth after being in the rain. So, enjoy, hopefully."

"Thank you." I smiled at her with thankfulness once again.

"Yeah, it's nothing." She reached for the mountain of pizza rolls and got one, taking a bite from it. "Go ahead and eat." She told me.

I nodded and reached for the food myself, not too long after drinking some of the hot chocolate.

"There's some whipped cream on your nose." Y/N told me, the sound a bit muffled from the hot snack she had in her mouth.

I wiped it off and continued to eat and drink in silence, it stayed like that for a few minutes until Y/N began talking.

"I hope it isn't too rude," She hesitated, I don't believe I've ever seen her hesitate. "Nevermind,"

"What happened?"

"I just wanted to ask a question."

"Go ahead."

"I just wanted to know why exactly you were here." She continued, "I kinda assumed something happened at the place you were staying at, since you came with suitcases and you were out of it."

"Well you're not exactly wrong." I chuckled a little, "Long story short, Lisa found me."

Her eyebrows raised in surprise, "She found you?"

"Yup,"

"What the fuck," She whispered to herself, staring off. She probably had to take in the information I just presented. "How did that happen?" She asked.

"No idea, but for a few nights I saw some suspicious people walking past, and today I just knew."

"What do you mean you 'just knew'?"

"Well I came home pretty late, and I usually say hi to the security people there cause they smile at me and they're really nice."

"Go on,"

"But I was there and it was dark and I said hi, but there wasn't a hi back. And I was pretty offended at first but I didn't even see their silhouette, so I went inside and turned on the light outside."

"Yeah,"

I gulped, "I looked through the window and two bodies were there, but they were dead, their throats were slit."

"Woah,"

"And when I got inside there was some blood smeared on the floor, and glass shattered, I assumed there was a fight. I knew the third one was dead and I didn't even want to look."

"Then you packed and came here."

"I didn't know what to do, or where else to go. So I came to you, sorry if I woke you up or something."

"It's nothing." She reassured me, "Just eat the pizza rolls and hopefully forget about it."

I nodded and smiled, "Thank you so much."

"It's nothing."
