"Did you like the apartment?" You asked Taehyung the next day.
He didn't look as nervous compared to the last time he was in your office, but he was still pretty uptight. "Yeah, and the people were really nice too."
You nodded, satisfied with the people you appointed to protect him. "Good, get comfortable with them, they'll protect you during all this."
He nodded once more, then his phone rang. "Ah, it's Hoseok." He answered and conversed through the phone. "He wants me to come to his office." He told you, and you waved him off with a polite smile.
Shortly after he left, Seulgi came in. "So you're actually letting him help?"
"Yup." You nodded and looked at your computer, typing up a templated email, "Hoseok talked to me yesterday."
"Hoseok?" Seulgi asked, "Did he mention me?"
"No, but, he probably likes you back."
Seulgi jumped and squealed, making your ears suffer, "Really?"
"Mhmm,"
"Wait," She stopped her jumping, "You're lying to me."
"I've suffered from you guys flirting with each other for the past two years, just date the guy already it's irritating."
She nodded, "I'll do it, I'll ask him out right now."
"No, not right now." You stopped her, "Both of you have to focus on killing Lisa."
"Both of us?"
"You're on the team."
She smirked, "Anyone else?"
"Typing up emails right now."
Seulgi nodded once lord and silently exited the room, leaving you alone with your computer and thoughts.
~~Would you look at that a timeskip~~
You found yourself sitting in Hoseok's uncomfortable chair a week later, "Congratulations," Hoseok told you, "You found something Taehyung isn't good at."
You were receiving updates on Taehyung's performance, since Hoseok has let him watch a few kills, see how these endeavors usually go. "Killing?" You asked.
"Watching kills, it gets pretty graphic."
"How? All you do is shoot them." You told him, skeptical at his statement.
"Have you ever seen their eyes? That shit's creepy." He shook a little and made a face that screamed displeasure. "Gives me chills just thinking about it."
"Get to the point."
"Oh, yeah." He nodded and looked through a few papers. "You might wanna get to contracts soon, though."
"This soon?" You were concerned, "Are you sure he's already improving?"
"He doesn't like it, but he's learning to suppress his reactions. Soon enough he'll act desensitized." He gave you a stack of papers, "That's how each of them went, he did pretty bad at first, but in the last one he wasn't too bad."
You skimmed through the papers, "How many do you have left?"
"Just one or two," He said simply, watching you go through the papers.
You laughed at the first one, Hoseok had to quiet Taehyung because he involuntarily screamed while Hoseok shot the victim. After Taehyung apologized, saying, "Sorry, the gunshot was loud."
"This is too good." You said.
"Read the last one."
You flipped to the bottom of the stack, they had to act like waiters and Taehyung accidentally angered the eventual victim by spilling water on him. This one had friends who seemed to be very violent, and there was eventually a fight.
Taehyung tried to calm down the situation, but got into a fight of four against one. Hoseok had to save the situation and give him backup, but they both killed the all men, and then the intended victim.
"Holy shit." You said, "This was after how many?"
"I don't know, maybe eight?"
"So his position on the team is secured."
Hoseok only nodded and watched you skim through the papers, reaction to Taehyung's actions throughout each of the reports. "I'll read these later, I guess."
"Alright, bye." He waved goodbye, allowing you to leave the office and walking down the hall to yours.
While in the hall, you could see Taehyung come up in the elevator, and tried your best to avoid him, but it didn't work out very well. "Boss! Boss! Ms. Boss!"
Even though you began walking at a fast pace, your heels didn't let you go fast enough, and Taehyung took almost no time to catch up to you. "Hi, boss."
"Hello, Taehyung." You tried to put on a polite smile, but it was more of an awkward smile that said, "This is a really uncomfortable situation, please get me out of here." But it seemed like Taehyung didn't get the hint.
"I just want to say thank you for pairing me with Hoseok."
"Huh?"
"I think without him, I would've died." He playfully whispered to you, lightly laughing after. "And thanks for the apartment and the people there too, they became my friends."
"It's been a week, how are they already your friends?"
"You can make friends in a week." He said, "We're friends, and it's been almost two weeks."
"We're not friends."
"To me we are."
"You are way too trusting in people."
Taehyung shook his head, "No, I just really trust you."
You paused, did he really trust you so quickly? If you were honest he was a bit too quick in doing so, just a week ago you were planning to laugh at his failure. Now you gave him some security and he somehow got some type of faith in you, or at least that's what he said. "Dumb move." You told him before going into your office and getting to business.
