Wanting my Dad so called Mistress

I'm enjoying myself playing an archery when I heard my father's voice behind me.

"You're still great"- he commented and give me a smile.

"Thanks to you"

I raise my bow and aim for my main target and the arrow landed on it perfectly.

"I heard the news. Was it true?"

I put down my bow and face him completely.

"No.."

What's the point of lying? He's my father , baka mamaya tanungin pa nya si Jo at iba ang isagot nun edi ako din ang mapapahiya.

Napatingin ako ng marinig ko ang bahagyang pagtawa nito.

"You like her?"

"I don't know"

Sinenyasan naman nya ako na maupo muna para makapag usap kaming dalawa.

Sinunod kona man sya dahil baka ito nadin ang hinihintay kong pagkakataon para malaman ang totoo.

"Anak I never raised you to push yourself to someone who don't like you"

Napaiwas naman ako ng tingin. Am I really forcing myself to her?

"Dad I know she's the woman you secretly seeing.. what's your relationship with her?"

Pansin kong natigilan si Dad pero nakabawi din naman kaagad.

"Fabian Martinez..does it ring a bell to you anak?"

Napaisip naman ako. Pamilyar nga sakin ang pangalan na iyon.

"He's my friend and also your old driver way back from your teenage years"

Natatandaan kona. Sya yung matandang driver ko dati but suddenly he decided to go away when I turned 15.  Hindi kona sya nakita pagkatapos nuon. Sa pagkakatanda ko he's like a father to me too. Mabait at maunawain. Kapag ayaw ko pa umuwi hahayaan nya akong gumala pero hindi nya ako pinapabayaan.

But I didn't know that he and dad were friends.

"What about him?"- takang tanong ko.

He give me a smile before holding my hand.

"His daughter is Kate"

"Po?!"- gulat na sabi ko.

What a small world it is. Kaya pala nuong makita ko ang picture nya kasama si Dad nasabi ko sa sarili kona may kamukha sya.

"He left us because he was sick at that moment. He died when Kate turned 18 followed by her wife.."

Napasinghap ako at hindi makapaniwalang napatitig sa seryosong si papa na nagkukwento.

"But before he died he asked me to take a good care of her only daughter. I became Kate sponsor in college because she promised to her dead parents that she will become a great architect someday and now look at her.. she's making a name on her own"

The proud tone was so obvious in my Dad's voice but all the information he's saying was giving me a huge blow.

"Dad I'm sorry.. I accused her as your.."- nahihiyang napayuko ako na ikinatawa naman ni Dad kaya napaangat ulit ako ng tingin.

"I love your Mom so much and Kate is just like a daughter to me"

"Kung ganoon bakit kailangan nyong maglihim sakin o pati kay Mom kung sino ang kikitain nyo kapag nalabas kayo?"

"It wasn't the right time to tell you guys everything" - he squeezed my hand and smile. "Basta mahal ko kayo ng mommy mo. Time will come where the truth will be reveal to you"
