Sirius pov
I was walking through the courtyard looking for any of my friends. I passed a group of girls who were giggling quietly. James told me that some of the girls here would do anything to get me to go out with them. I found it disgusting but James found it amusing to watch.
I walked away from the girls to try and find, more specifically, the one and only Remus Lupin. Perfect, smart, handsome Remus. The only person I have ever had a crush on. I think I've been hiding it very well, but I think James is catching on.
I was pulled out of my thoughts by none other than Remus' voice saying, "Hey Pads!"
"Hey M-moons," I say, mentally cursing myself for stuttering, "I was wanting to ask you something,"
"Yeah? Are you needing help with your homework again? You'll have to do it yourself this time, I've told you this," Remus said.
"N-no it's not that, I was wondering if you would w-want to go to Hogsmeade with me this weekend?" I asked, mentally cursing myself again.
"Oh! Uh, yeah sure!" the werewolf responded, a slight pink tint to his cheeks.
"Great! I'll see you this weekend then!" I say, sounding way to excited then I meant to.
I then walk away and try and find James, I'll probably need some advice since he's been going with Lily for a while now.
Remus pov
I was pacing the common room on Saturday morning with Lily, worrying about the "date" with Sirius.
"Honestly Remus, will you stop pacing?! You're driving me insane!" Lily all but yelled.
"I'm just nervous!" I said, deciding to sit down instead of pace.
"You'll be fine Remus. Now come on before we're late!" she said, walking towards the door.
I stood up and slowly followed Lily out the portrait, nervousness taking over.
Sirius pov
I was waiting for Remus with James, as he was waiting for Lily, when we saw them walking up to us. Lily was wearing a bright fire red dress that matched her hair.
Remus was wearing a black and white sweater with a red jacket over it, a pair of black jeans, and a beanie that made him look absolutely adorable. I on the other hand was wearing my black jeans and my leather jacket. He walked up to me and I could feel my face heating up.
"Hi," he said, blushing a light pink.
"Hey, do you want to go to the Three Broomstick first?" I ask.
"Yeah sure," he says, grabbing my hand and walking into the snowy town.
When we get to the Three Broomsticks we both ordered a butterbeer. We sat talking about quidditch and sweets until we finished our drinks. Once we finished we went to Honeydukes, which, might I say, was not the best idea on my part. We spent the whole time in the chocolate section and left with quite a bit of chocolate frogs. After that we kind of just walked around and talked. It was very cold and, if I must say, my jacket wasn't quite enough. Remus, being, well, Remus, of course noticed and asked, "Padfoot your freezing, do you want my jacket?"
"No I'm ok, thanks though," I say, visibly shivering by now.
"Sirius your literally shivering, come here," he said, wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me closer to him. To say I was surprised would be an understatement. I was surprised, and confused, and happy, and I was just completely shocked. He was very warm though, and it felt amazing. We kept talking as we walked around until he suddenly stopped.
"Sirius, I need to tell you something," he said, tilting his head down to look at me.
"What is it?" I ask, starting to get excited.
"Well, umm, I've kinda, uhh, liked you, since like second year," he said, blushing furiously.
"Wait really? Remus I-" I started to say but he cut me off mid sentence.
"No it's ok, I'm just being stupid, how could you ever like me when there's hundreds of girls dying to get with you," he said, hurt obvious in his voice.
"No Remus you didn't let me finish. I was going to say I like you too, since I first saw you in the train. I thought you were the coolest kid ever, with your scars and your books. The fact that you completely ignored me just added to that, but I also thought you were really cute," I say, looking into his eyes.
"R-really?" he asks, blushing a crimson color.
"Yes really," I say, intertwining our fingers.
"Oh well, do you maybe want to go out with me again sometime?" he asks, staring at our hands.
"I'd love to Rem," I say, pulling him back towards the Three Broomsticks for another drink before we had to make our way back to Lily and James.
Remus pov
The rest of the day went along as if it was any other day. We met back up with James and Lily in the common room, and I was very confused as to why they were looking at us with surprised expressions. Well, I was confused until I felt a gentle squeeze on my hand and remembered I was still holding Sirius' hand. I felt my face heat up and Sirius said, "What, is there a problem?"
"No, no, nope, no problem here," Lily said, smirking.
"Ok well, I'm off to bed, Sirius, Remus, you following?" James asked after kissing Lily on the cheek.
"Yeah we'll be right up," Sirius said, letting go of my hand.
"So, finally a thing are we?" Lily asked, still smirking.
"Uh, yeah," I say, blushing again.
"Well good, it only took you six years to figure it out," she said, standing up and walking to the stairs.
"Well, I'm tired so I'm going to bed, coming?" Sirius asked, holding out his hand.
"Yeah, I'll need it for our exam next week anyway," I say, taking his hand and following him up to our dorm.
