chapter ten: how do i know you ain't lieing to me

As I was walking down the hall with my daughter Brittany holding her hand, kianna came rushing down the hall.

"Alisa is awake! Alisa is awake!" She said out of breath." she want to talk to you in private. I'll take Brittany out for something to eat while y'all talk. Call me when you want me to come back."

"Okay." I said kissing Brittany on the forehead "I'll see you later."

"alright mommy." She said smiling and giving me a kiss on the forehead also

I quickly went running down the Hall towards  Alisa's room. Everything that happen was replaying in my mind.I also was comtemplating about what's going to happen when I get in the room to see her. Is she going to yell at me or hit me because of all the shit that I done to her or is she just going to forgive me and tell me that she love me? Why am I thinking she going to forgive me. It's alisa for gods sake. I just don't know what will happen, but I hope that everything will be okay and she will just forgive me. I stopped in front of her door and instantly thought about our time together. When we were a couple.

     FLASH BACK  

"Baby I was thinking." Alisa said looking at the clear sky as we were laying in the grass at the park

"And you were thinking about?" I said waiting for her answer

"Maybe when we have enough money we can go on a vacation somewhere.maybe At this beautiful place i call Puerto Rico.I feel it will be romantic and private with no interruptions or disturbances we can finally enjoy our time together. Its like we can leave all our worries back here while we are over there you know." She replied turning on her side facing my way

When she turned around I did to. I was admiring her beautiful eyes and cute face. The way she looks at me, I picture our future together. She wore a long light blue strapless dress that fit and looked perfectly on her. She also wore blue sandles and to top it off she had white heart earings with her hair in a ponytail. No matter what she wore she looked like a goddess to me. We was both matching because I was wearing a light blue shirt with cut up jeans and my white Nike's and my hair in a ponytail.

"You are so beautiful." I said looking deep Into her eyes

"Awww baby thank you. " she said smiling

"You do." I said smiling also "I'm so happy to be with someone like you. You are a gift to me and I know I'm not perfect and I do things to hurt your feelings and make you cry,but I want you to know I do not mean to do that. I'm trying to be a better person and women to you, so that why I wanna say that I love you and we are going on that vacation together next week. I have the money and we are going to make it to your liking."

Instantly she started crying

"why are you crying baby?" I said holding her hand and wiping her tears away

"Because you said you love me." She said looking deep into my eyes "you never use to say that to me ,but now you did."

"I know baby I know." I said hugging her

               HOSPITAL

we never went to Puerto Rico because in that same week we had a huge argument and broke up officially.

"brenda I see you standing out there come on in." She said in a coarse voice

"You had wanted me?" I asked

"Yes I did." She said sitting up as I sat down on the chair next to her bed

"I know I haven't been the nicest or the wisest person and I will admit I did some sneaky and file shit to you,but it wasn't on purpose." Alisa said looking me into my eyes

"I know you haven't and I know I hav-" I said before she cut off

"Be quite and let me finish. Like I said I did some file shit ,but It wasn't on purpose. You hurt me you know. You really did."  Alisa continued

She paused for a moment and spoken again

"you remember when we was at the park talking and you told me you love me and that we were going to Puerto Rico the week after?" She asked

" yes I do remember." I said

"I was crying because not only at the fact that you said you love me but at the fact you actually said those things.I thought you was going to change and be done with the mess..... You know when we was arguing that Friday and I was telling you that you were a cheater and a liar and you didn't understand why I did that. I knew something that you thought I didn't know." She said looking at me with hurt eyes "I know you were messing with that girl."

"what girl Alisa?" I said looking confused "what are you talking about?"

"The same girl that has a daughter. I think the little girl name " She said shouting  "I knew Brenda! I knew! I knew that was why you wouldn't let me in your house and that was why you were at my house most of the time or somewhere else. I followed you back to your house one day that how I found out. I saw you with her and Brittany. You looked so happy.!I knew the whole time that you were messing around with another girl, but I didn't know you were living with her and the girl had a child. Before I found out though I didn't end it from there because I was hoping and praying that one day you would change, but when I followed you to your house and saw that, I was done."

Once I say her cry after she said that, I cried also. Not because she was crying but because I hurt her. All that I put her through. I lied to her and cheated on her and even put my hands on her. I didn't even say I was sorry. I was playing with her feelings and I regret that. she was too much of a good girl to be treated so bad.

"listen Alisa I'm sorry for what I did and I mean it. you deserve better you really do and-" I said before she cut me off again

"All I wanna know are you still seeing her. I need to know and Kianna need to know also ,so you want hurt her feelings like you did me." She said looking at me angrily

"No I'm not with her anymore. My daughter with me. I had some stuff going on after I left you." I said pulling her face towards me again "hey alisa I mean it okay i won't ever hurt you again I'm sorry."

"And how do I know you ain't LIEING to me?" She said looking at me

"Because I love you an  you just have to trust me." I said giving her a kiss
