chapter nine:can we be friends

Brenda-

I have to sit here and look at a hurt,abused, neglected Alisa. I apologize for being in the middle of the people that hurt. I apologize for being the one that hurt her. Despite all the things I did to her and put Her through I still love her and care for her.I'm not happy on what I put alisa through in our past ,but everything happens for a reason and I'm a change person now.When Kianna told me what Alisa said, a couple hours ago,I was stunned,embarrassed, and scared. Is this what alisa thinks of me as this horrible person that treated her poorly. Yes, I will admit I did put my hands on alisa and I was drinking heavily at the time an on top of that I was cheating on her. I just didnt apologize for what i done. Now ever since then she gets me back by trying to get in the way of me talking to other girls. Now i understand why.I just hope alisa can forgive me for what i did to her when she wakes up.

Despite my worries for her, im also thinking about my baby mama and her situation with her girlfriend. And I have to think about Kianna and this little ugly ass boy trying to hurt her. All these problems I have is too much for me to handle by myself.I gotta call up my homeboy ,so I wont handle this on my own. I tell Kianna that I'm going to be out In the hall and to keel a eye on alisa.I call up Rico to let him know what's up.

"yo Rico I need you to meet me by the chinese café tomorrow at 10 o'clock. we gotta handle some business." I said on the phone

" haha yeah man I know you would come round soon I'll be right there. Do you want me to bring some of the gang also? It sounds like this going to be a hell of a situation."  He said laughing

" nigga so you telling me you scared. You need other people to help you on this? If that's the case then I can call somebody else You a bitch ass nigga. " I said angry

" nah nigga Im not scared and in not a bitch ass nigga. I was just playing man,So you gonna let me in on what you want to do or you rather wait until I see you?" Rico said

"I'll just wait till I see you alright bye." I said hanging up

I'm stepping into alisa's room. I sit next to her on side of the bed where kianna's sitting next to her on her right side. I brush my hand on her left cheek.

"Has she talked or made a sound while I was outside?" I asked

" yes. she has talked a little bit, but I don't think it was for me. She was mumbling a little bit I think sHe saying something about "stop it" "let me go" "get me out of here." I think she having a bad dream." Kianna said

As I listened to what Kianna said about alisa I can't help,but think that she is having bad dreams about her mother. When we was together she used to tell me that she got into a lot of arguements with her and it turned into fights. I even wittnessed a time when they actually fought and her mother tried to kill her.alisa and her mother never had a good relationship, even though alisa tried to compromise and work thing's out with her mom, but her mom wasn't into it. I really do feel sorry for her. I just hope she wakes up and feels better really soon.

"Brenda can I ask you a question?" Kianna asked

"You just did." I said hopefully lighting up the mood

"I'm serious you didn't tell me your situation with your daughter I mean I didn't know you had a daughter. Can you tell me more about that--i mean that's if you want to. I know I only meet you like a hours ago and everything is happening so fast. At first I was disgusted by you and thought you was a complete perv ,but now I've seen the real side of you and I want to know more."

She's right I only meet her a couple hours ago and things has been moving fast in these couple of hours. I met her in our first period class, flirted an went on about my business ever since Alisa got a hold of her and now they so called friends. After the ambulance came and we had continue through the rest of the school day, I kept trying to get in contact with someone to know where alisa was at. I got a hold of Kianna number by one of my homeboys/gang members Dj and had her come to my house and let me know about Alisa. Now we are here.

" you right. well I suggest that we start all over again."   I said extending my arm for her to shake across the bed "hi my name is brenda Michelle an would you like to be friend?"

" my name is kianna Washington and yes we can be friend's" she said laughing and shaking my hand

I swear I know that this is going to be a hell of a friendship or soon become more.
