Song of the Chapter: Rebel Yell by Billy Idol
The next night, Michael and I left the house once it was dark. Sam watched us leave from his room, though Lucy was cooking in the kitchen. We told Lucy we were leaving, before we went straight outside to Michael's bike. I knew if she heard us leave without telling her, she'd have a caniption fit. I mean, she did days ago, when Sam had called her and she had to run home from her date with Max. Honestly, I never really liked Max, I got a weird vibe from him, but I didn't say anything since it really wasn't my place. I mean, I'm not biologically her child, so I didn't believe I really had a place to tell her who to not date. If it were me, I'd want someone to tell me that they had a bad feeling about the person, but I didn't know if she felt the same way as I did.
I did know, that since the last time I seen David, I felt as if my body was calling to him. Each time I'd fall asleep, I'd dream of him, him and I, more specifically. I didn't tell Michael, since he and I had gotten into an argument last time I brought him up in a conversation. I needed someone to talk to though, which normally was Michael, but right now we were too on edge to speak about such things together. It was as if we were growing apart, though we never turned hostile towards each other, but we sure weren't as close as we use to be. At moments like these, I wished my dad was free from jail. He and I could talk about anything together and he'd never turn his back on me.
I hated so much, that so many people wanted my father dead. Everyone wanted him gone, even my mother, but I didn't. I needed him, but he was too far from my reach. I mean, I could probably call him and talk to him, but it was nothing like a face-to- face conversation with him. The two times he and I chatted when he was outside of the prison were some of the best times of my life. Life just seemed so much better, easier.
Anyhow, we pulled up at the boardwalk, before Michael started stomping off like a man on a mission. He came straight up on David, who smiled at him with a sadistic look in his eyes.
"Where is she?" Michael asked, referring to Star, causing me to mentally roll my eyes.
"Take it easy." David said, a chuckle following his words.
"Where is Star, David?" Michael demanded, as I stayed quiet behind him.
"Michael, if you ever want to see Star again, you better come with us now." David stated, before walking away.
They went to their bikes, so Michael pulled me over to his before we followed behind them. We pulled up by a tree, next to a bunch of surfer Nazis that were surrounding a camp fire. David and his guys climbed on the tree and laughed while they watched the surfer Nazis dance around the fire. Michael and I watched from the edge of the tree on the bike, unsure of what was going on. I could faintly hear, Walk This Way, playing through the radio the surfer Nazis had acquired.
"Michael, Rosalie, come over here." David beckoned, and almost instantly I went over to them, "You don't want to miss this." David finished, chuckling at his own words.
I seen Michael make his way over to the tree with us, as the guys laughed in the tree.
"Initiation's over Michael, Rosalie, time to join the club." David stated, chuckling again.
My heart almost fell out of my chest, as I seen David's face, as well as the other guys' faces, had morphed into something like a monster. Michael stared terrified as well, as the guys laughed and taunted him for a moment, before they jumped from the tree. I watched them practically fly to the surfer Nazis and begin to tear them apart. I could see Michael struggling to keep himself from losing it, as was I, as we watched them attack the surfer Nazis.
"Michael! Rosalie!" They called, as my breathing became raggid.
I almost started crying, feeling myself giving away, as I listened to Michael grunt and try to fend himself off. I felt a tear fall from my eye, before my face morphed and I attacked one of the surfer Nazis. The guys all cheered, before they threw the bodies in the fire. I heard Michael yell, before throwing himself to the floor, as the guys laughed. David grinned at me, as he ushered me to jump up on by the tree with him and the guys.
"So, now you know what we are. Now you know what you are. You'll never grow old, Michael, and you'll never die, but you must feed." David stated, before he began to laugh and wipe the blood from his face.
I could feel blood on my face as well, as Michael stared up at us blankly, almost scared even. All the guys began to laugh, as I stayed quiet and to myself. I couldn't believe what I had just done. There was no way I did that. I had to of been dreaming. There was no way I could lose all my self control like that. I watched Michael leave, before David wrapped his arm around my shoulders.
"Welcome to the family, Rosalie." David said, as he smiled at me.
"Welcome Rosalie!" The guys cheered, before they climbed down from the hill.
"Ride with me, Rosalie." David stated, as he gestured for me to get on his bike.
He brought us back down to the hideout, the one I had seen weeks ago. I never thought I'd be back in it, but now I was stuck in it. There was no escape, but without an escape, I knew I'd grow closer to the guys, as I grew closer to David every moment I was with him...
