Song of the Chapter: Too Young to Fall In Love by Mötley Crüe
I could hear everyone around me, but I didn't call any attention to them, not until I seen Max come into the house. I quickly stood to my feet and backed away from him. Michael grabbed my arm and pulled me back towards him and Star, keeping me close to him.
"I'm sorry, my boys misbehaved and caused so much trouble to you. It wasn't supposed to be this way, but I always said the boys needed a mother." Max said, as he turned around and his face morphed into a vampire.
My eyes widened as he walked up towards us. Almost as if it were instinct, I stood straight and ready to attack Max if I needed to do so. Michael ran at him first, causing Max to grab Michael and throw him across the room.
"Michael!" I exclaimed, before growling and running towards Max.
I got a few good hits on him, before he threw me as well, causing me to land on top of Michael. I groaned and tried to keep myself from passing out. As I seen Max go to grab Lucy, I ran at him and went to grab him, but all he did was grab me, swing me around, and throw me up into the support banisters. After hitting the banisters, I fell to the ground and breath heavily.
I watched in pain, as Sam ran at Max, but all Max did was grab Max in a headlock and then hold his hand out to Lucy. Lucy's face twisted in discomfort, before she placed her hand in his and let him pull her towards him. Right before his teeth could sink into her neck, I heard the horn of Grandpa's car. Michael and I picked out heads up, right in time to see a stake go right through Max's chest. We all watched as Max was taken out, before I dropped my head on my arms.
"Sam! Michael!" Lucy cried in joy, as she hugged her boys.
"Star! Star!" Laddie yelled, as he ran down the stairs.
"Laddie." Star replied, as she picked him up and spun him around.
"My Rosie." Lucy cooed, as she wrapped her arms around me as well.
"Ow." I groaned, as I felt my injuries from the fall.
"Oh baby, let's get you in bed." She said, before she had Michael walk me up to our room to lay down.
Before we walked up the stairs, we heard Grandpa let out a comment that had shocked us.
"The one thing I always hated about Santa Carla, all the damn vampires." He had said, causing Michael and I to look at each other shocked.
Michael helped me up the stairs, before he helped me lay down in our bed. I could feel the slight pain in my back and ribs, though I knew it would go away after a while.
"How are you feeling?" Michael asked, causing me to look away from him.
"You killed him, Mike. You could've fought him off and then killed Max, that would've ended the vampire problem but you just had to kill him." I cried, as Michael rolled his eyes.
"What did you expect?! He was trying to hurt us!" Michael exclaimed, as tears fell from my eyes.
"You don't understand, Mike, you never do! You have Star! Everything always works out for you! I don't have anyone! No Mom! No Dad! No siblings! No David! Nobody! I'm all alone in this god-forsaken world!" I yelled, as he looked at me sympathetically.
"I'm sorry you feel that way, but you do have us, Mom, Grandpa, Sam and I. We'll always be your family and you still have your Dad, he's just not here right now. You'll be able to see him again soon." Michael stated, causing me to sigh.
"I know. I just wish it was easier for me, like it seems to be for you." I said, as my voice cracked.
"It'll be okay, Rosie. We'll work this out. Get some rest and then maybe you'll feel better later. I'll bring you some meds when I come back up, okay?" Michael replied, causing me to nod lightly.
I watched as Michael left the room, making his way downstairs to his family. Once he was gone, I looked back towards the wall and tried to fall asleep. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get my mind to settle down. I was so upset with myself and with the world. I wished that things were different, I honestly really did. If things were different, maybe David and the guys would still be alive. They were like the family I always wanted. Lucy, Sam, and Michael were the perfect family, but David and the guys felt like the right family.
Now that they're gone, I feel like I have an empty hole in my chest where they used to be. I didn't feel this empty before I met them but after getting to know them, I now felt the emptiness of them being gone. If only my Dad was still out of prison, he would've been able to make me feel better. As I laid staring at the wall, I heard Michael come back into the room. He sat down on the otherside of the bed, with a sigh leaving his lips.
"Here's some pain meds, hopefully they'll get to working quickly." Michael said, causing me to sigh.
"I don't know what I'll do if the meds don't work." I replied, as I grabbed them from his hand.
I placed the pills in my mouth and swallowed them with a sip of water. I hoped they worked soon, otherwise I wouldn't get any sleep for the night. I could hope for the best, but I knew if I was hurting I would never get any rest. I'd be up all night and after tonight's events, I wouldn't be able to survive without sleep. I just needed rest, to sleep for the rest of my life...
