Song of the Chapter: Highway to Hell by ACDC

About the time David and I had gotten dressed, I heard Paul and Dwayne wake up. David and I looked at each other with grins on our faces, as we headed towards the main room where Paul and Dwayne were going to come. Once they had arrived, David plastered a sinister smirk on his face that stayed permanently as he spoke to us.

"Tonight, we get our revenge. They're going to wish they never came here and messed with us." David stated, as we cheered in excitement.

David interlocked his hand with mine, as he led us out of the hideout.

"We get to show you another cool trick." Paul commented, as we scanned the area by the boardwalk.

I wasn't completely sure if Michael and Sam would even be at the house. For all we knew, they could've thought we'd back down and they could just go by their normal night hanging out on the boardwalk. Minutes passed, before David decided we'd go to Michael's house. I guess David had kept track of where Michael and I had lived, since he knew exactly where to go.

I could see Sam, Michael and Nanook from a distance, as they ran into the house. I pursed my lips, knowing they weren't getting far with their escape. A house wouldn't keep us from getting to them. There'd be no way they could escape now. Moments later, we were on the house with revenge on our mind.

I could hear everyone inside trying to find ways to defend themselves. I could smell garlic from somewhere in the house, I just wasn't sure where. I sure wasn't trying to find out the hard way either. I knew that garlic would hurt us, so I wanted to know where exactly it was coming from.

"It's show time." David said, before Paul and Dwayne disappeared.

I walked silently over the top of the house, feeling Paul's and Dwayne's presences when I walked over where they were either hiding or spying. Michael didn't have this sense or ability because he wasn't a complete vampire, nor was he connected to everyone like I was. I was the pack mate, so I could feel the connection of each of them when I was near.

"Let's go." David said, before I silently jumped down into Michael's room. I sat on the ledge of the window, listening to the commotion going on in the other rooms. My arms began to slightly burn enough for me to startch itching my arms for a moment. I heard Paul screaming, pain evident in his yells. I ran into the room where Paul was, after hearing loud explosion. I felt my eyes tear up, seeing Paul was now gone as well.

I growled lowly, before running back into Michael's room. As I looked around, I seen he had left all my things where they were. Not one thing was moved from its place. I almost felt like my heart was growing slightly. I didn't think Michael would've left my stuff in it's place, when I had been made to permanently reside in.

I sighed lowly, before I decided to go and stay in the shadows on a support beam. I watched as Dwayne went to attack Sam. I stayed in the shadows, watching the conflict push itself through. I seen Michael had been knocked out, but I also heard screams and arguing upstairs. I scrunched my eyebrows together to listen, before I realized it was Star. Rolling my eyes, I turned my sight back to Sam and Dwayne. Almost as soon as I switched to look at them, I witnessed Sam shoot Dwayne with an arrow. I gasped silently, as I stared at Dwayne's motionless body.

I knew he wasn't dead though, since I didn't feel even a bit of pain from Dwayne being shot with an arrow. As Sam let his gaurd down, Deayne jumped up and growled at Sam.

"You missed sucka'." Dwayne spat, as he stalked closer to Sam.

Again Sam loaded the bow, before he shot Dwayne a second time. Dwayne flew backwards into the radio and it began to spark. I felt the flames slightly, as Dwayne burned and faded away. I watched as he struggled and growled, before his body was in pieces and he was gone. I had to keep myself from running out, knowing it wasn't part of my plan.

"Michael, you could've been one of us." David taunted, as he landed on the support beam close to me.

He knew I was right there because he could feel my presence.

"We could've been a family." David said, as he attacked Michael.

He attacked him a few more times, before Michael began to fight back. Michael pushed David trying to push the horns through David's heart. As they both pushed each other, I flew over and knocked Michael off of David. Michael flew through a table and landed on the ground, as I growled at him next to David. Michael stood back up and ran at David. Michael hit David, knocking him backward, before I had to watch David hit the antlers on the table. The antler went through his heart, causing me to cry out in pain and despair.

"David!" I cried, as I ran over to him and held his hand in mine.

"I'm sorry." He whispered, as his eyes closed moments later.

I fell to the ground, my face still morphed into a vampire, as I cried. My arms were wrapped around my legs, and my face was buried in my knees. All I could do was sob my heart out. There was no way I was going to feel better after Michael killed David.

"Rosalie." I heard Michael call, though all I did was stare at the dead body.

"Rosalie." Star whimpered, but I kept to myself.

I felt empty, hollow even. I didn't know why, but I didn't want to be around anyone. I wished I could've seen his death coming. Then maybe I probably would've been able to prevent him from dying. If only I had been faster...
