Chapter Eleven

I sat on the couch, after wiping my face free of the surfer Nazi's blood. I looked down at my clothes and seen all the blood that covered my shirt. I sighed, knowing all of my clothes were back at Michael's place. My mind was whirling with all of the events that had happened only ten minutes ago. I couldn't get Michael's face out of my head. He was scared, and for some reason I liked it. It was as if I fed off his fear, but I hated myself for it. I was supposed to protect him, yet I wanted to hurt him.

"Rosalie, I bet you have many questions." David commented, causing me to purse my lips.

"Why? Why did you do this to us? To me?" I asked, as I watched a smile appear on his lips.

"To complete our family, Miss Bundy. It was so lonely without the whole family. It wasn't supposed to only be you and Michael, but we've got to work with what we've got right now." David said, as I casted my eyes down.

"I feel so different. I know I'm different. Why did you choose me? I'm not actually Michael's family." I replied, causing David to nod slowly.

"I know, but you are in their hearts, otherwise Lucy would've never let you into their homes, Miss Bundy. Think about it, your father is a notorious serial killer, if it wasn't for them loving you like family, you'd be out on your own, still with your mom or in a cell right next to your dad. Well, until I found you of course. I knew I'd find you one day." David stated, as my eyebrows knitted together in confusion.

"What's so special about me?" I asked, my mind fearing the worst.

"You were born to be in our family of course." Marko commented, as he grinned boyishly at me.

"Call it destiny." Paul added, winking at me with a smirk on his face.

"We've been waiting for you for a while, we just didn't know who you were until we met you." Dwayne said, as he sat down beside me.

"Ya see, vampires have this thing called, mates. Normally, vampires have a pack mate, which was what I originally thought Star was, but then we realized just how impotent she really could be. She never was what we needed, never would be. You. You're what we needed. What I needed. You're the pack mate, but truth be told, you only have one true mate and the rest of the pack is your family. So, you want to know why you have such a pull to us? To me?" David replied, as I stayed sitting silently.

"I-I-" I stuttered, unsure of how to answer him.

"Well, of course she does." Marko commented, chuckling loudly.

"You're my true mate, that's why you're so pulled to me. These boys, they're your family, and until your family is complete, the pull won't stop. You'll want to complete your family, our family. It's for the best, and soon you won't think differently. You already think differently, I can promise you, that you're bounded to us now. You and I, we're meant to be. You and the boys, you'll forever be bound together. They'll follow wherever you go, as you and they will follow me. The love is there, you just have to allow it. Close your eyes and let yourself go. Let yourself accept the pull to us." David said, as I sighed and closed my eyes.

I breathed deeply, clearing my mind of every worry or anxiety I had. I knew now that nothing was going to change, but oddly, I was okay with that. I slowly felt myself become fine with staying here. Nothing could change just how I felt right now. Another sigh left my lips, before I opened my eyes and grinned at the guys. They all grinned back, as they laughed and cheered and danced around. David smiled at me as well, as he beckoned me over to him. I slowly stood to my feet and walked over, before he pulled me down on to his lap and wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Now you're here with us forever. You'll sleep where we sleep, eat when we eat, and enjoy the life you're now a part of. You made the right choice, don't ever doubt yourself." David stated, as I smiled at him.

He slowly brought his face to mine, placing his lips on mine for a gentle kiss. I could here the guys laughing and cheering again, as they began to play some music from their radio. I couldn't help but feel happy and joyful around them now. It felt so normal, almost more normal, then when I was with Michael, Lucy and Sam. I always had a nagging feeling in my heart, my soul, telling me I didn't completely fit in, but now the feeling was gone.

As the guys celebrated and David and I watched, I seen Star enter the hideout. Laddie had already been in bed for a while, so I wasn't sure why she was even up. Then I realized that she had probably went to Michael, being a big baby over David wanting to turn her into a vampire. I didn't understand why she wasn't grateful over such a gift that someone was willing to give her. I could see from the corner of my eye, that Star was staring at me intently. She looked almost shocked and upset to see me.

"Go ahead, talk to her." David murmured, before I stood up and followed her to her bed.

We both sat down, leaving quite the space between us.

"Why? Why did you feed?" Star stammered, as I pursed my lips.

"I couldn't help myself at first, but now, I wouldn't change my mind. Why can't you see what kind of gift this is, Star? David's giving you such a gift, an opportunity, and you're just throwing it away. You and Michael both are so ungrateful." I replied, causing her to look away with a sigh.

"You may think it's a gift now, but you'll soon realize just how much of a fool you really were." She said, before laying down and turning away from me.

Those words, I couldn't unhear them. It was as if part of my mind was trying to tell me she was right, but the other part was telling me that she was crazy. Of course, I knew which side would win, the side with the most pull. David's side...

A/N: I hope you guys liked this chapter. So, what do you guys think? What about the story behind her change? Does it seem realistic towards the idea of these vampires enough?
