Ashley woke up to an empty bed. Sadly, it's something she's gotten used to since you're pregnant. Between your morning sickness, which has thankfully seemed to pass, and your cravings that are still present, you seem to be an early riser these days.

But this morning is different. She could hear the shower running and the sound of your voice as you sang softly. She smiled and pushed the covers away from her. She got up and went into the bathroom, just as you turned the water off and stepped out.

"You seem to be in a good mood this morning!" She cheered.

You gasped at the sound of her voice. You hadn't even realized you had walked in. "Oh, you scared me! Yeah, I feel really great this morning."

"That's wonderful, baby." She said and made her way to you. As you turned around, now facing her, and reached for a towel on the rack something caught her eye. "Wait," she whispered and, slightly confused, you stopped right in your tracks.

Ashley gasped in awe when she stood right in front of you. "Oh... you have a bump. You're showing!" She got on her knees in front of you and phut her hand on your stomach. She could see it clear as day. You were showing. Your baby was inside there, growing beautifully.

From the moment you found out you were pregnant, everything changed for Ashley. She became more committed to staying at home with you more often and she had been by your side every step of the way so far; through the terrible weeks of morning sickness, through the times when you snapped at her due to your mood swings, she came to every appointment, and she vowed to never miss a single one.

She's seen the baby through this fuzzy picture on a screen so far, but this is so real. It proved that your baby was growing and as she looked from your bump and up to you, basking in that glow you had, she had never felt so happy before.

"I know. I saw it this morning before I got into the shower. Isn't it amazing?"

Ashley bit her lip to hold back her tears of happiness.

"It's incredible. It's beautiful, baby. You're beautiful. Our baby is in there!"

"Yeah! Just a few more weeks till we can find out what the gender is."

Sher nodded tearfully. "I love them so much." She kissed your stomach softly. "No matter what happens, no matter who they are and who they decide to be, we'll always love them and support them."

"Unconditionally." You said as you brushed your fingers through her hair.

"I love you. Thank you for everything you do. Thank you for keeping our little one safe. You're just incredible. I love you." She stood up and gave you a kiss before moving her hand across your bump in circles.

"And I love you, my little lovebug. I love you to the moon and back."

She really was gonna be the most incredible mother. You, and your baby, couldn't be any luckier.
