Tonight is your third date with Ashley. You've been dating for a few weeks now but due to her busy schedule, you haven't had much time to spend together. But Ashley was determined to change that tonight.

She took you to this beautiful and really romantic restaurant followed by a walk through the park. And that was all lovely at first. Except that what you had ordered for dinner was really agreeing with you and you were beginning to feel really sick.

Your hands were a little shaky, mostly out of nerves. You're trying to hide how sick you really feel from your girlfriend but you're starting to feel drained of all your energy and you were starting to feel that terrible feeling in the pit of your stomach that signaled you were gonna be sick.

And even though you tried to hide it from Ashley, she was catching on to something being wrong. "You okay? You're really quiet." She reached for your hand but you pulled away. You could feel how clammy they were and you really didn't want her to notice.

But that idea was quickly becoming impossible.

You had to stop walking when your stomach started to ache really badly. Ashley put her hand on your shoulder and rubbed it soothingly. "You alright? Does your stomach hurt?" She asked when she noticed you clutching it.

You were about to deny it, but you no longer could. Because you quickly felt the bile rise in your throat and you quickly ran to a bush nearby before you started to vomit, your body desperate to relieve the food from your system.

"Oh gosh, hey," Ashley whispered, hands moving to your back to comfort you while you threw up. Tears brimmed your eyes. You were so embarrassed, absolutely humiliated, but you couldn't control it. You just couldn't help it.

"I'm so sorry." You murmured and started to dry heave before you finally stopped a minute later. "No, don't be sorry. It's okay. It happens. It's not your fault." You wiped your mouth and turned around to lean your head on her shoulder.

"I feel so gross." Ashley felt terrible. She knew it was the food that had made you sick since you were your normally bright and bubbly self when she had picked you up. She felt a little guilty, but she hid it from you and moved into comfort mode instead.

"Let me get you home." She helped you back to the car and helped you inside, making sure the seatbelt wasn't too tight on you. She drove you back to your house and helped you out of the car.

You weakly shoved the key into her hand as you leaned against her. She held you up and unlocked the door. "Do you think you can make it down the hallway to your room? Or do you just wanna lay on the couch?"

You pointed to the couch, knowing there was no way you could make it to your room in the condition you were in. So, Ashley gently lowered you onto the couch and then grabbed some clean clothes for you. She helped you changed and then covered you up with a few blankets before moving an empty trash can by you, just in case you threw up again.

"Do you need some medicine?" You nodded and she went back down the hallway and to your bathroom to grab some for you. She had you swallow the pills rather quickly before lowering you back down against the fluffy pillows.

She pulled the blankets further over your shoulders and planted a kiss to your warm forehead. "Nice and warm?" you nodded, cracking a small but tired smile as she started to rub your cheek. "I'm so sorry I took you to that restaurant. It's my fault you're so sick."

"Don't be silly, Ash. It isn't your fault. It's their fault. You just wanted a nice date and I appreciate that." She nudged her nose against your cheek and lightly placed her lips against it. "Need anything else before I go?"

You frowned. "What do you mean? You're leaving?" She saw the tears in your eyes. "I didn't wanna make you uncomfortable. We've only been dating for a few weeks." You shook your head. "I need you here with me. Please stay."

She sighed softly and nodded her head. Even though you were sick, your words still pulled at her heart and caused her to smile. You need her and that makes her feel good.

And for the first time, she stayed by your side that night, not leaving even once. You woke up the next morning to her laying there with a smile. You felt much better than the night before and mostly because she was there with you.
