Friday
Toni huffed as she entered her house. It was finally Friday. Her first week of school is done, now she can relax.
Cheryl drove her crazy, but she was starting to like having the girl's company.
On the other hand, Betty and Veronica were getting used to Cheryl bailing on them for the young girl.
"Hey, Cher. You down for pops?" Betty asked as she sat on the redhead's bed.
"Sure." She smiled. "Oh! Let's invite Toni. Maybe she wants to get out of the house?" Cheryl said.
Betty knew that Cheryl had a very big crush on the brunette. She was starting to look very desperate. And Cheryl doesn't look desperate for NO ONE.
"Sure, Cher. Why not." Betty sighed.
"Yes! Okay, come on, we can ask on the way out." Cheryl smiled, pulling Betty out of the house.
Cheryl ringed the girl's doorbell. Her mother opened it.
"Oh, Hello Cheryl." Kate smiled.
"Hey, is Toni available?" She asked.
"Oh, no. Sorry, Toni went with her father. They always go out on Friday back in New York. I'm sorry." Kate smiled Sympathetically.
Cheryl frowned. "Oh, Well, thank you Mrs. Topaz." She smiled.
"No problem." She smiled, shutting the door.
"Welp, I guess it's just us." Betty smiled.
"Mhm." Cheryl said as they walked away.
——-
"How about Carmel? You think she'd like that?" Thomas asked as he showed Toni the shake.
"Mom is very specific with her shakes, Dad." Toni chuckled.
"Ugh, why did I have to marry a picky one." He joked, shutting the menu.
Toni giggled. The sound of bells filled her ears as Cheryl and Betty walked into giggling about something Cheryl said.
Toni turned away, keeping her face hidden.
"Who are we hiding from?" Thomas inquired.
"Cheryl." Toni whispered.
"Why?" He asked. Toni sighed, drinking her cola.
"She's been driving me nuts all week. I mean, she's a cool person and friend but she's quite annoying." Toni huffed.
"She's not annoying, You just don't like people." Thomas chuckled.
Toni rolled her eyes, nudging her father's shoulder.
———
Cheryl entered her house, greeting her mother.
"Did you eat?" Penelope asked.
"Yeah. Betty and I went to pops."
"Okay, cool."
The doorbell ringed. "I'll get it." Cheryl smiled, leaving the kitchen.
She opened the door to Toni. "Oh. Hey, Toni." Cheryl chuckled.
"Hey, uh. My mom wanted to know if she can borrow some sugar?" Toni asked.
"Uh, sure. Come in, while I get it." Cheryl smiled.
Toni stepped inside the house, waiting in the kitchen's frame.
"Hello, Toni." Penelope greeted.
"Hey, Mrs. Blossom." Toni smiled.
Cheryl handed her a cup of sugar. "There you go." The young blossom smiled.
"Thank you, " Toni smiled, walking out.
"So, Crushing yet?" Penelope teased.
"Huh?" Cheryl asked.
"Are you crushing yet?" Penelope chuckled.
"Uh, N-No." Cheryl stammered.
"Cher, that's so cute. Crushing on the girl next door." Penelope chuckled.
"Quit it, Mom!" Cheryl huffed, running into her room.
"She's a hopeless lesbian." Penelope giggled.
