2 weeks of no Cheryl, or evening talking to her.

Toni didn't like that Cheryl was ignoring her instead of facing her.

Toni sighed, entering her class. She took a seat in her usual seat, putting her head down.

She's been having restless nights, tossing and turning.

She didn't know why she was so caught up on Cheryl talking to her again but it kept her up at night.

Cheryl entered the classroom, frowning when she saw Toni's state. Her hair in her usual half-up-half-down style with her glasses on. But under those glasses, we're heavy bags.

She sighed, sitting behind the girl.

As the class went on, Toni didn't even look back at her once, came to think of it she hasn't seen those brown eyes on her in almost 3 weeks. It was starting to scare her.

-------

Lunch rolled around, Betty, Veronica, Archie, and Jughead sat at the lunch table.

"Hey! Toni!" Veronica called, beckoning her over.

"Hey, guys." Toni smiled, sitting down.

"Hey, Cheryl talked to you yet?" Jughead asked the nerdy brunette.

"No. But its fine, I don't care anymore." Toni nodded, eating some more fries.

Cheryl watched as Toni ate from afar. She felt chills as she remembered the feeling of those lips on hers 2 weeks prior.

"In deep thought, blossom?" Kevin snickered.

"Nah, Kev. Just tired." Cheryl sighed.

Kevin nodded, going back to his conversation with Josie.

"Tired of ignoring my girl." She mumbled under her breathe.

----
10PM

Toni laid on her stomach, studying for a test.

Her phone vibrated beside her as it lit up.

Cheryl: Open your window

Toni rolled her eyes, placing the phone down again.

Cheryl: Please🥺

Toni sighed, closing her book, getting up to go to the window.

She opened it, staring back at Cheryl.

"What do you want?" Toni whispered, annoyed.

"Wanna go for a walk?" Cheryl whispered back up to her.

Toni looks back at her alarm clock that read 10:23 PM

"It's 10 PM. Are you insane?" Toni asked.

Cheryl shrugged, "Maybe I am." She whispered.

Toni smiled, pushing her glasses up, "I'll be down." She said, closing her window again.

"Yes!" Cheryl whispered, waiting patiently for Toni to come down.

Toni throws on a sweater, slipping on her sneakers as she grabbed her key and phone.

Toni locked the front door after shutting it quietly.

She became face to face with Cheryl.

"Hi." Toni smiled.

"Hi." Cheryl chuckled, "Walk with me?" She asked.

"I mean, that's what I came down here for." Toni giggled.

The duo started walking down the quiet street.

"You probably know why I asked you to walk with me." Cheryl started.

"And I want to say that I'm sorry, I shouldn't ignore you like that. It was childish and immature. I'm sorry." She apologized.

The walked into the quiet dark park, sitting on the first bench.

"It's okay, Cher. I know you aren't good at showing or explaining feelings." Toni nodded.

Cheryl sighed, turning to look at the tanned girl.

Toni pushed up her glasses, waiting for Cheryl to speak.

Her heart started beating fast as Cheryl held her hand.

"I like you, Toni. I like you a lot. Ever since I saw you the day you moved here, and frankly, it took me a while to figure it out myself. But I like you, Toni. And-And it's fine if you don't like me back, I just wanted you to-" She was cut off my lips on hers.

Cheryl immediately kissed back, cupping the girl's cheek.

She felt her stomach flutter with butterflies, as her heart started beating fast.

Cheryl pulled away with a chuckle, leaning her forehead on the tanned girl's.

"You talk too much, you know that?" Toni asked.

Cheryl nodded wordlessly. "I like you too, Cheryl. You may be annoying, but you're also kind and caring." Toni nodded.

Cheryl smiled. "Thanks, I get that all the time." She laughed.

Toni chuckled, shaking her head.

"Ready to head home? It's getting kind of chilly." Toni said.

"Yeah, sure, let's go." Cheryl nodded.
