What time was it now? That question was racing through Wortox head now.He was struggling to sleep. The pain in his paw was infuriatingly hard to deal with.Anger filled Wortox, he really wanted to get back at Maxwell. The man probably felt the same about the imp.Wortox knew that he was going to run out of time, but there wasn't much he could do now.He was injured now,and he hasn't even made the necklace. The imp got up suddenly, hurting himself in the process."Where's my bag..?"He said to himself. The imp looked around for it.A few seconds later, Wendy came to the Imp.She startled him."W-wendy?Hi... "Wortox said as he hid his paw a bit." What are you doing up silly?I came to check on you.. and I also managed to grab your things."Wendy said as she set the bag down next to Wortox. The imp was surprised."T-thank you.."He said as he picked it up and looked inside."The amulet..?Did you..?"He continued."I sure did.I took some spare time to go ahead and make it for you. Also, Winona filled me in on what was going on with your friend.I'll help you save her, if you allow me to that is."The girl said.Wortox was really astonished. He was also really glad."Yeah.. I'll glad accept your help-"The imp said as he suddenly grunted. It was his paw, stinging from pain.It was very bad, as far as everyone could tell. The girl comforted the Imp."From the information I could gather, you've got till midday tomorrow right?I think you should rest until tomorrow morning. We'll still have time than."Wendy said as she pulled out a flower and looked at it."Are you sure..?I just wanna be able to save her."Wortox replied as he laid back."Just trust yourself. You'll be able to wake up at a good time. And when you do, you can come get me as well. We'll go see her together.Sound good?"Wendy asked.Wortox nodded, but he didn't feel very good about the plan. What if something got in the way?Like Maxwell or sanity? The Imp was trying very hard not to think about all the bad things and only thought about saving his friend."Alright...I guess we can do that.I'll trust myself...I hope it can be enough."Wortox said."It'll be all up to you Wortox.I believe in you."Wendy said as she took her leave after waving goodbye. The Imp sat up again and managed to get himself out of the hammock.Suddenly, The Imp felt hungry for once.He hadn't eaten a soul or any other food in a few days.At the cost of sanity, he could fill himself up but it didn't feel worth the trouble.Instead, the imp intended to try and get something to eat from the cook himself, Warly.Wortox didn't understand, but all the food he made was so good.To the mortals at least. The imp left his bag behind and set out to find Warly. It didn't take too long, considering he was already cooking something up with Wilson and Willow nearby having conversations. The Imp walked over to them slowly."Hey Wortox, how are you feeling?"The cook asked."I'm alright.. I'm just hungry is all."He replied as he found a place to sit."You're hungry?I guess we could say that's a first, considering you're lest nourished by our food."Wilson said as he opened a book and began to read it.Willow came over to Wortox."How that paw doing fella?"She asked."It feels like it's on fire.. hyuyuyu..."Wortox said.He knew that she liked fire. She laughed a little bit."Anyways Wortox, if you wanna wait a bit I can have something cooked up for you in about 5 minutes flat."Warly said as he tended to his crockpot.Wortox nodded and got up.He went to talk with his monster friends.Wert and Webber were tending to flowers with Wormwood."Hey friends.."Wortox said."Imp boy!'Wert said as she got up and hugged Wortox tightly."Are you okay? You didn't seem to good florp!"She said."I'm fine hyuyuyu.Maxwell got me good, but I'm sure I got him good too, considering he's the weakest out of all of us."Wortox said."Health wise, hehe.We pay attention!"Webber said."I just came to check up on you all.I have a life to save tomorrow."Wortox said as he attempted to scratch his arm.Wormwood got up."Wormwood believes in you."He said.Wortox smiled."Thank you."Wortox said as he took one more gander at his pals before returning to Warly and Co."Oh you're back.Perfect timing, the food's done."Early said as he prepared some for the imp.Wortox waited patiently and eventually received the food.As he began to eat, he caught a glance of Maxwell in the distance. The two made eye contact for a few seconds before the man looked away."Don't worry about him Wortox.I'm sure you've proven much more than strength to Maxwell. If I was him, I wouldn't mess with you anymore."Willow said as she pulled out her lighter.Wortox scoffed that comment off quickly, but he figured that she might be right.Only time will tell."It's still so much time left.. but I feel the deadline creeping up on me.. "Wortox whispered.Warly came over to the imp and rubbed his back."Don't worry.Everything will resolve by itself. You can count on it."Warly said as he stopped and went back over to his crockpot.Wortox eventually finished his food and went back to where he was resting. He had to stay there the whole day and wake up in the morning, no later. There wasn't a point to go back to Beverley's house. At least, not yet.Everyone in camp insisted that the imp rest until he recovered, but Wortox was just too worried to wait all that time. The Imp climbed back into the hammock and looked over at the bag.He sighed.

Meanwhile...

Nick was watching over Beverley in place of Wortox. The girl wasn't doing too good. Her sickness seemed to get worse in stages, according to Wortox." N-nick... where's Wortox... "She asked.Nick was looking outside the window when he turned to his friend."I'm s-sure he's doing what he can!He wouldn't bail on us.. not after this.. he's trying to help you.. "Nick said, barely. He was pretty scared too." Hospital.. "Bev managed to say before falling asleep.Nick nodded."Y-yeah.. we'll go in the morning.. I hope he can find us.. after all.. tomorrow is the last day.." Nick continued as he returned to the window."Wortox.. where ever you are, please hurry.."The boy said urgently.
