The group walked for a while until they reached an open meadow.It had many flowers scattered about.Wortox sat down in the grass and looked up at the clouds.He only sat a while, that he knew his headache was getting to him.The Imp began looking around for flowers."I've got one over here Wortox!"Beverley called from afar.The imp came over eventually."Oh look at it, it's quite a delicacy.Isn't it?"Wortox said as he picked up the flower and sat down with it.

Beverley chuckled."Do you eat flowers Wortox?"The Imp looked up at the girl."I do not, though I'm sure they don't taste good for a mortal like you."Wortox said and he put away the flower."Not at all silly!"The girl replied as she stood up.The Imp layed down on his belly and felt the grass."This grass feels like the savanna in The Constant."Wortox said.Beverley kneeled down to the imp's level."I've been noticing that you talk about "The Constant" a lot buddy.Could you explain what it is?"Bev said as she waited for his response.The imp started scratching his back."I have a friend that could tell you all about it.Would you like to meet him,hyuyuyu?"Wortox asked.The girl nodded."I'll round up the others.I'm sure they'll want to go as well."Bev said as she walked toward her friends. Wortox rolled over and faced the clouds."What are those fluffy.. white squishy things up there?"Wortox said as he imagined holding one in his paws."Those are clouds Wortox!Sometimes when we see them, they form shapes and pictures!"Nick said as he came over with Judy and Bev.The Imp got up a little."More silly mortal things.. hyuyuyu.Shall we visit them now?I'm feeling fine now that I've got flowers."Wortox said."Well sure buddy.Lead the way!"Beverley said.Wortox got all the way up and began walking."Let's go!Wouldn't want to spend too much time out here!"The imp said as the rest of the kids followed.The four were walking for a while now.Wind blows past them, and Wortox felt it through his fur.As he led the group, he turned around and began walking backwards."What do you think they'll be like, hmmm?"The Imp asked."Well that depends on how many friends you have bro."Judy said."Oh yes, it's quite many.They all have such personalities, like you three.Hyuyu!"The Imp utters."Well that's quite sweet of you Wortox.I bet they'll be quite the group of people."Bev said.Wortox turned back around the other direction."I need to mention that some are people, some are like me.Monsters.Or, whatever the mortals call us.The last time I checked, there was four of us."The Imp said, showing a little emotion in his voice."We're er.. almost there."He continued.The three children looked at each other, than carried on.After 5 more minutes of walking, the group reached the base."Oh my.This place is quite..big!You really live here Wortox?"Nick asked as he looked around with his goofy glasses."Yeah, but I go out a lot as you could probably tell.I like exploring sometimes is all."Wortox said. Suddenly a voice was heard from behind the Imp.It was Wert coming towards the fluffy animal."Imp boy!We missed you again florp.! "The merm said as she hugged her friend.Wortox chuckled." Beverley, Nick, and Judy, meet Wert.She is a merm. "Hi Wert!It's nice to meet you!"Bev said, as she sounded a little excited." Hello!Are friends of Wortox florp?If so, you're friends to all us monster kind!"Wert said happily."Let's go,get introduced to all our family."She continued, leading the group into the base.The merm stopped at a small group of monsters sitting by a camp fire."Friends florp, friends of Wortox are here."Wert said as she approaches with Wortox and his mortal friends.Webber was the first to get up."Oh hello.We are Webber, it's nice meet you."The spider said.None of the kids even seemed a little scared of the spider."We?There's only one of you though.."Bev said as Wortox shushed her."Let's not get into detail.. as you can see, this is Webber and this is Wert.Lastly, we have Wormwood."The Imp said, getting Wormwood's attention.He was taking care of a flower.Nick went over to him."Hi there Wormwood,that's your new right?My name's Nick and I'm a friend of Wortox.It's nice to meet you!"Nick said as he adjusted the fishy glasses.Wormwood seemed very pleased."Hi... I wormwood."He said in a creaky voice while pulling out a flower."This my friend."He continues as Judy came over as well."You have some pretty sweet friends Wortox."She said."I am quite lucky..It started all with Webber, than these two came along soon after.We are very good friends."The Imp said.Beverley sat down with Webber near the fire."Who's the oldest and who's the youngest?"She asked."We don't really know..we are just kids."Webber replied as he poked the fire with a stick."Wortox!" a voice called.The Imp turned around and saw Wendy and Winona approaching behind him."Hello, you two."He said."You've been gone again, haven't you? We've been looking, but Wert told us you left again.But who's this you've got with you?"Winona asked and stated.The imp scratched his chin."These are some of my mortal friends.They are quite nice people I assure you!"He said as he looked over at Bev suddenly.She got up and lead Nick and Judy over to meet Winona."Hello miss.. My name's Beverley and these are my friends, Nick and Judy.Pleasure to meet you! "She said as her friends waved."It's nice to meet you three as well, and to see Wortox has been in good hands as it seems to look like it."The engineer looked over at Nick." Is that a merm disguise with glasses frames?Do you need some new glasses Nick?"She asked.The boy nodded."Cmon.We can get that worked out for you."Winona said as she lead Nick and Judy farther into the base.The Imp sat down.Beverley sat down next to him.Wert came to accompany the Imp as well."I like your hair, florp."She told Beverley."Oh thank you!My mom helps me do it."She replied.Wert nodded."Do you like books?I am fond of reading, for being a merm."Wert asked."Oh yeah.I have many books at my house, I could bring you one if you'd like!"She said happily."Oh would you? That would be nice, florp!"Wert said as she clapped a little bit.The two seemed very happy, bonding like this.Wortox could tell.The Imp got up and looked around for Winona."I'll be back, I've got to talk to someone."Wortox said as he suddenly teleported away.
Meanwhile...
"And done.Some new glasses for you Nick."Winona said as she removed the merm shades and replaced them with Nick's glasses." These prescription.. I can see clearly!Thank you miss!"Nick said happily."You're welcome, but please call me Winona."She replied.Nick and Judy walked away to return to Beverley and Wortox just appeared next to Winona, sitting on one of her machines.She quickly noticed him."Wortox, little one.How many times do I have to tell you that my machines aren't to be sat on?"Winona asked."I know, I know.It must've been at least 100 times, but I have to talk to you."The imp said and jumped down."I'm really sorry for leaving for a long while.It must've hurt Wendy, eventually hurting you."Wortox said, as he looked down."It's fine,just be careful out there alright?I know you get bored.A lot.Just be sure to come home more often, alright?"She said, rubbing the Imp's head."Yes.I understand."Wortox said and started to walk off slowly."Oh and be careful around Beverley.I don't want to see her hurt because you accidentally took her soul.You don't have to keep distance, just no hugging or anything like that."Winona warned.The Imp nodded and kept walking.He looked at his paws.They were red suddenly.. urging the soul.
