It's Monday morning and I feel weird. And by weird I mean good. I normally hate Mondays but I could tell that today was going to be a good day. I got up from my bed and went to take a shower. After about ten minutes, I turned the shower off and wrapped myself in a towel. I walked into my room and got dressed. I put on a blue tube top with black ripped jeans and some white air force 1's. I straightened my hair and tucked the two pieces in the front behind my ears. I decided not to do my makeup today. I grabbed my phone and my backpack and went downstairs to the kitchen to eat breakfast. I set my bag down on the side of the table and grabbed a bowl to make some cereal when my mom walked in.

Y/m/n: buenos dias mija!
Y/n: buenos dias mama

I kissed my mom on the cheek and sat down with the gallon of milk and a box of Cheerios.

Y/m/n: how did you sleep?
Y/n: I slept good. How about you?
Y/m/n: I couldn't really sleep because of the neighbors again. But I understand it's not easy living with a newborn so I turned on a telenovela and eventually fell asleep.
Y/n: Mamiii you're supposed to wait for me to watch telenovelasssss you know this.
Y/m/n: I know mija, pero it was an old one from last week don't worry. You better get going or you'll be late.
Y/n: donde esta Tristan ? He's supposed to bring me to school today.
Y/m/n: he's waiting in the car for you mi amor. Leave your dish I'll take care of it.
Y/n: gracias mama

You grabbed your bag from the floor and hugged and kissed your mom goodbye.

Your pov
My brother Tristan is supposed to take me to school today and I'm very excited. Me and him have had a really close bond since my dad died. I got into his car and he gave me the biggest smile

Y/n: what are you looking at tú bobo?
T: I'm just excited that I get to bring you to school and embarrass you in front of your friends.
Y/n: dios mio just drive you loser

We stopped at Dunkin donuts because I still had 45 minutes before I had to be at school. We pulled up to the school and I got out of my brothers car. I waved goodbye and he did back. I grabbed my phone and scrolled through insta as I walked through the schools main entrance. After about 10 minutes I got to the auditorium. This is where me and my friends Kairi, Alvaro, Roshaun, and Alejandro hang out before 1st period. Mattia used to be in our group but ever since him and Alvaro got into a huge fight he just doesn't talk to us anymore. I walked up to the group and they must have been waiting for me because they all have me a group hug and I spilled some of my coffee on Roshaun.

Alv: y/n! Oh my God I missed you so much!
Y/n: Alvaro it's been two days.
Alvaro: I know but I still missed you
K: okay, okay Alvaro stop hogging y/n
Y/n: ahh olaf how I've missed you!
K: haha very funny *he laughed sarcastically*
Ro: um excuse me. Shes my bestie back off
Y/n: exactly right Roshaun.
Ale: que pasa y/n
Y/n: aw my sweet monkey come here

I've had the biggest crush on Alejandro since freshman year but I didn't want it to ruin our friendship so I never acted upon it. After we all got done hugging, we made our way to first period. I had first with Kairi and Roshaun, and Alejandro and Alvaro had first together. As we were walking to physics, Kairi tossed his backpack at me and ran and jumped at the lockers. It didn't really make much noise, on account that he's compact. But it was probably the funniest thing I've seen in a while. We got to class and sat in our spots. About 15 minutes into class there was a knock on the door. It was Mattia. Shit. It's not that I didn't like Mattia , it was just that I was upset with him for leaving our friend group just because of one stupid argument.

T: good.morning Mr. Polibio! How can I help you today?
M: my schedule got switched so I'm in physics now instead of chemistry for first.
T: ahh how wonderful. Why don't you go take a seat next to y/n for now since that's the only seat available.

He walked to the back of the class where me and Kairi were sitting and sat in the desk. Directly to my left. Kairi was in my right.

M: psst. Y/n! *he whisper yelled*
Y/n: what.do you want Mattia
M: I just wanted to say that I'm sorry. I didn't want to leave the group but I was just so frustrated with Alvaro I didn't want to take it out on anyone so I just left.

I saw a genuine apologetic look in his eyes and knew he was serious.

Y/n: it's okay Matti. Wanna sit with me and the boys at lunch?

Just as I asked that I felt a this against my leg and looked over at Kairi who had a 'wtf'/look on his face.

K: wtf are you doing y/n?
Y/n: look he said he's sorry and he really means it. I miss him and I know the rest of you guys do too.
K: that's true but did you forget?
Y/n: forget what?
K: about jenna?
Y/n: what about- oh shit.

That's when it hit me. I completely forgot that Jenna and Alvaro had started dating 2 months ago. Jenna is Mattia's ex and he really loved her. But he had to break it off because it was toxic because of how much he loves her. He was in pain for so long to the point where he wouldn't leave his room for days at a time except to take a shower.

K: yea, not very smart y/n.
Y/n: Jenna can sit somewhere else for today. Mattia is sitting with us and that's final.

Kairi's pov

Y/n asked Mattia to sit with us at lunch today. I instantly reacted because Jenna (who is Mattia's ex) is now dating Alvaro. It's not that I didn't miss Mattia because I really did. We used to be extremely close and then the fight happened and things haven't been the same. I'm glad he's coming back tho, I missed my best friend.
