'lunch'

Mattia pov

I was so happy when y/n invited me to sit with her and the boys at lunch. It was weird tho because when she made me the offer Kairi got her attention and told her something. Oh well. I made my way to the table where we used to sit as a group and everyone was there except for Alvaro. I sat next to y/n and started up a conversation. I've had a crush on y/n for the longest time but I never wanted to say anything because I knew she had a crush on Alejandro. We talked for about 3 minutes until I saw Alvaro walk towards our table. Holding hands with Jenna. I didn't like Jenna anymore so I didn't care. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and scrolled through insta avoiding Alvaro and Jenna as much as I could. I didn't have a problem with Alvaro anymore. We were friends again. But it was a little sus that he was dating her, on account of the fact that he knew I was in love with her for the longest time. Oh well.

Y/n pov

When Mattia walked over to our table he sat next to me. We had a small conversation and then Alvaro walked up to our table holding Jenna 's hand. I looked over at Mattia and noticed that he didn't care. He was just scrolling through insta with his head slightly tilted, avoiding eye contact with basically everyone, but mostly Jenna and Alvaro. I was mad, mostly because I knew Kairi didn't talk to Alvaro like he said he would, but also because Jenna kept on looking at Mattia and then smiling and then kissing Alvaro. It was gross.

Y/n: wtf Kairi I thought you talked to Alvaro and told him not to have Jenna sit with us today
K: I did but he didn't listen to me obviously
Y/n: yea clearly

Alvaro pov

I noticed that Mattia was sitting with us today at lunch. Me and Mattia were friends again so I didn't mind, but I noticed how Jenna kept on looking at him while she had a big smile on her face, and then she would kiss me. Weird.

*time skip*

Y/n pov

Lunch went by pretty quick, and so didn't the rest of the school day. I walked into my house and noticed that I was the only one home. Great. I went upstairs to take a shower and I went to bed.

*time skip 2 weeks*

Y/n pov

It's been two weeks since Mattia joined the group again and it couldn't be better everyone was happy and it felt so normal. Homecoming was around the corner and I was very excited to say in the least. It was sunday, and I was home alone. I went downstairs and made some popcorn. I heard a loud thud and ran upstairs. I locked myself in my room and locked my door. An hour went by and I finally came out of my room to make myself dinner. My mom and brother were on a trip for my brothers basketball team. I could have gone, but everything has been so great lately at school I couldn't miss anything. Mattia has been really nice to me lately which was weird. I didn't mind it tho.

Alejandro pov

It was Sunday and I was way too excited to go back to school tomorrow. Everything was great. I just didn't like the fact how close y/n and Mattia were getting. I couldn't say anything because then eventually it would be figured out. I'm in love with y/n. I couldn't wait until Wednesday , I was gonna ask y/n to homecoming , and if she said yes, at the dance I was going to finally ask her to be mine. I had a whole thing planned out. At lunch, I would have everyone split on both sides of the cafeteria, leaving a path in the middle for her to walk. There would be seven girls spaced out evenly, and when y/n got to each girl, she would get a rose. The reason I'm having seven girls do it, is because me and y/n have been friends for seven years now. I want it to be special. When y/n gets to the other side of the path, I'll be standing there with a sign, some balloons , and a basket with things from her favorite telenovelas. I'm really happy that a bunch of people agreed to help, or this wouldn't be possible. It was perfect.

'Wednesday'

Mattia's pov

It was Wednesday and I couldn't wait to see her. It was finally my chance to ask y/n to homecoming. It was the period right before lunch, and I had it with Ale and Kairi. I walked into the classroom and noticed that Ale and Kairi were whispering back and forth with the biggest smiles. Once they looked up and saw me, their smiles faded slightly. I sat behind them and eventually class started. We finished our work early so we had a free period until lunch. I was on my phone and I noticed that Kai and Ale were still whispering and laughing. I sat up in my seat so I could hear them a little better.

Ale: I'm really nervous bro, what if she says no?
Kairi: are you serious?! How could she say no?.do you see the way she looks at you?
Ale: how does she look at me?
Kairi: don't worry about that for now. Just focus on being in the cafeteria and asking  y/n to homecoming. Oh, also don't stand like you normally do. It's weird.
Ale: shut up olaf.

Mattia's pov

There was about 20 minutes until lunch and all of a sudden the intercom cut on

Int: sorry for the interruption, but would   y/n y/l/n please report to the main office.

2 minutes later Alejandro was called up to the teachers desk. He then walked out of the class, looking back at Kairi and they had the cheesiest smiles on their faces.
