*3 month time skip*

It was now June, about a month before summer break. Alejandro and y/n started dating in may, and it was an understatement to say they were the happiest they've ever been. But as for Mattia, he wasn't sleeping, barely showed up to school anymore, and rarely talked to anyone. It was easy to say that he was taking the breakup a lot harder than y/n was.

Today would be the first day that Mattia had come to school, in two weeks. He didn't know that y/n and Alejandro were a thing, because if he did, it would only have broken him more. He walked through the double doors entrance, and to the cafeteria for breakfast.

Mattia pov

Today is the first day that I'm going to school in like 2 weeks. I've barely slept or ate, and hardly left my room. But it was time for a change.I needed to leave my room. It was difficult, but I needed to. I walked through the entrance and to the cafeteria for breakfast. I noticed that Kairi saw me, and he excitedly waved me over to the table where him, roshaun, and Alvaro were sitting. I sat down, and they all immediately started attacking me with questions.

K:how have you been? God we haven't talked in forever and I was starting to get really worried bro.
Alv: yea. Same with me. It's been rough without you here. What's new?

Roshaun stayed quiet, because he knew that if he didnt, he would have easily exposed the "secret" they were all desperately trying to hide. But what the three boys didn't know, is that the little "secret" would soon be revealed.

M: it's been rough. But it's been months, I have to get over it. It's not like anything will get her to take me back.

Just then, Ale and y/n were maybe ten feet away from the table that sat the four boys,and they were approaching hand in hand. Mattia didn't notice tho, only because his back was towards that direction.

Alejandro pov

Me and y/n have been dating for about a month now, and it's been absolutely amazing. I never thought I would get to be with someone like her, but I was wrong. We walked up to our normal breakfast table, hand in hand. I Noticed another body at the table, but I couldn't tell who it was because they had their back facing us and whoever it was had their hood up.

Ale: hey babe?
Y/n: yes bubs?
Ale : look at our table. Do you know who that extra person is?
Y/n: no idea. Maybe it's just a new kid.

The possibility of it being Mattia hadn't even crossed either of their minds, mostly because he hasn't been to school in what felt like forever. They finally made it to the table, and Ale noticed that Kairi had almost a sick look on his face.

Ale: hey Kairi you good?

He asked, while him and y/n say next to Kairi across from Mattia and Alvaro.

K: yeah I'm fine I just-
Ale: oh my God

He had finally realized who the new kid at the table was, but in fact it wasn't a new kid at all, it was Mattia.

Y/n: Ale let's go

Y/n tried to get up, but before she could, Mattia stood up without saying a word and just walked away from the table. It was silent for about a minute until Roshaun spoke up.

R: hey at least I didn't say anything right?

Roshaun was the only one that laughed, but to be fair he was trying to break the tension in the air.

K: I'm gonna go look for him to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid.

Kairi grabbed his bag and jogged out of the cafeteria to look for Mattia.
