Why him?

Y/n put her phone into the right pocket of her sweatpants and walked back into the room. When y/n opened the door,Alejandro almost instantly looked up at her with a huge smile on his face. She sat down on his bed and placed her phone on the night stand.

Y/n: so, what were you gonna say before?

She noticed that his hand was on the bed between them so she placed her on top of his and lightly rubbed his thumb. He noticed and instantly got nervous, but didn't want her to stop so he pretended not to notice.

Ale: what I was going to say was, the only reason I ever ignored you, was because I was in love with you. And I still am.

Y/n started to get nervous, but not in a bad way.

Ale: ever since freshman year there's just always been something about you. I would have told you sooner but then I started dating Vic. And then when she cheated on me, I had the mindset that every girl was the same. But I also always had a feeling that Mattia liked you. And trust me, I wasn't trying to get in the way of that because Mattia always got what he want when it came to girls, and he still does.

Y/n: Ale I'm sorry.
Ale: for what?
Y/n: for not telling you my feelings sooner.
Ale: y/n you have nothing to be sorry about. I get it. Especially with everything with your dad, I don't know how you manage to keep going.
Y/n: thank you.

She cracked a slight smile and looked up at him. He was purely focused on her, nothing else.

Ale: is my door locked?
Y/n: yeah why?
Ale: just making sure.

He then slowly tilted his head, leaving it hardly inches away from hers. The intensity in this moment was like no other. He leaned in and so did she. He picked up his left hand and used it to cup her face for more support. After about a minute or so, he pulled away.

Ale: are you sure this is okay?
Y/n: 100% sure. Thank you for asking though.
Ale: of course.

He then stood up and sat on his bed against the headboard, patting his lap signaling her to sit there. She got up and did as asked. Once she sat on his lap facing him, they stared into each others eyes, just enjoying the moment. Y/n made the first move by leaning in and slowly placing her lips on his. It was almost as if their lips moved in sync. Time seemed to stop, and in this moment it was just them. To Ale, this was the best feeling in the world. He was all alone with the girl he was in love with.

After countless times of pulling away for air, they finally pulled away one last time and just stared at one another.

Y/n: woah.
Ale:I know. I think that was the best kiss I've ever had.
Y/n: well duh it is me you're talking about.

The both left out a hard laugh, and y/n got off of Alejandro's lap and sat directly across from him.

Ale: listen, I need to tell you something.
Y/n: go ahead

Y/n slightly smiled and directed all of her attention to the boy sitting in front of her.

Ale: I really, really like you y/n. And I cherish every moment we have together. Whenever I'm with you, all the stress that I would normally feel, disappears. But, if this between us even is anything, I wanna take it slow.

Y/n: Ale I-
Ale: no, please let me finish. Then you can talk.
Y/n: okay
Ale: I don't want you to feel like I'm coming at you just because you aren't with Mattia anymore. I want you to know that I'm going for you because I've always wanted you. Now you can talk.
Y/n: thank you

Y/n: what I was going to say, was that I feel the same. I did love Mattia, but it wasn't a burning and passionate love. You know, like the one that kills you inside when the other person is upset, or gets hurt emotionally?it wasn't like that.

Alejandro stayed silent because of he was being honest, he was at a loss for words.

Y/n: I just, I don't know. It was weird between me and him. But enough about that. I do like you Ale, and I want to be with you, but I think we really should take it slow.
Ale: I agree.

By this time, it was about 4 am and their eyes started to get heavy. Alejandro took a thick blanket out from his closet and covered both him and up y/n with it.

Ale: goodnight y/n
Y/n: goodnight Ale.

They spent the rest of the night cuddling closely, the warmth of both of their bodies colliding.
