Both named their horses Minato and Ame-no-Uzume making both to love them really as they care for their horses and never made them feel alone. They didn't notice a barrier going around their minds with the girl's ten other knights plus her priestess.
This is a sign of danger and that there is something protecting all of them really. The person is only one that the Matsukaze family worships making them to watch over the little one and her group as this is not going to be easy for her to gain her twelfth knight.
