Syria was born in a region plagued with unrest
Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq, Jordan, Israel; around it congest.
In 1946, Independence Syria gained
But continuous coups, its stability pained.
Till 2011, under emergency law it had been placed
Constitutional rights of citizens, it erased!
People are now protesting, for a change
Non-Democratic with Democratic regime, they want an exchange.
Journalists to show us the truth; Marie Colvin, Remy Ochlik, Anthony Shadid their lives they laid
By supporting the struggle, let’s honor the sacrifice they paid.
The violence and bloodshed needs to end
Al- Assad to people’s demand, you need to bend.
UN sanctions have been put; the call is to fight
To guarantee Peace and a future bright!
