SOMEONE I KNOW

Ahmed's POV

"Sameer..Do you have work today?" I asked.

We were sitting on the porch.It was a relaxed Sunday with weather perfect for beach get-aways.Birds chirped a happy melody and the sun was generous with its warmth.

"No buddy.Actually Dr.Harris came back yesterday from his two week vacation.So I have the whole weekend ahead...to sleep!" He said sipping green tea from his black thermo mug.

"Ohh.." I said thinking to myself.

"Do you have plans?" He asked noticing my far away look.

"Hmmm..I just wanted to drive somewhere.I want to feel like myself and that happens only when am behind the steering.So I thought that we would go for a long drive in ECR.But if you are tired,then its fine.Some other day.." I said.

I knew he was working insane for the past two weeks and the bags beneath his eyes held evidence for it.His idea of spending the whole weekend in rest seemed logical.

"Ahmed..If you don't mind,may I suggest something?!" asked Sameer after taking a last greedy sip of green tea.I nodded indicating him to continue.

"Sana asked me to take her somewhere today and I agreed last week.But I think you can do that for me as I wanna sleep and you wanna drive!Two birds with one stone!" He said enthusiastically.

But even the mention of her name made my pulse reach its limit.

"Ummm..I think this is the worst idea you have ever suggested." I said breaking my knuckles nervously.

"Oh..come on dude!You know am a man of my words.Now she will never let me sleep in peace if I cancel the plan in last minute.." He said arching his lower lip downwards.

"Don't make that face Sameer.You know I will do it if you do that.Its called 'Emotional blackmail' man and only girls like her do that." I said sarcastically.

"Hahaha...please Ahmed.You should get to know her for judging her in first place.And Sana is not what you think.She is one of the wonderful smart girl I know." He smiled and finally succeeded in convincing me to take that stubborn feminist woman to some place she wanted to go.

"Ok.I will do it for you but ask her not to expect any gentleman kind of behaviour from me like opening the car door." I said already guessing the names what she is going to call me this time.

"Okay Mr.Ahmed.But she already asked me to tell you something and I forgot." He said and my heart rate picked up.

"What?" I asked frowning with curiosity.

"That she wants you to smile often." He said laughing and I smiled like an idiot in front of him.

"Yeah..yeah..the same way.Smile to kill." He said still laughing and I got up to get ready for the trip which am least interested in.

10:38am.

I showered and put on a white polo shirt and blue denim.After styling my still wet hair,I went down.

"Sameer!How could you do this to me?!" Sana was screaming like one insane person.

"What?!You told me that you want to go somewhere right?!Then whats the problem now?I have made arrangements." He said rolling with laughter and she angrily pulled his hair.He started throwing pillows at her.

"I asked you to take me there!!I don't what to go somewhere with a person who don't know to talk without hurting others feelings." She said and it made me drown in shame.
