akutagawa sat atop the couch, watching atsushi's back from the open kitchen as he cooked breakfast. he was breathing heavily and his face was all flushed because of his fever, though he did feel better after hugging the smaller boy.
after minutes, atsushi walked out of the kitchen with a tray of eggs, bacons and chicken soup, placing it on top of the center table. he gestured akutagawa to sit on the soft carpet underneath it, which said name eventually did. the sick latter began to eat after saying thank you to the one who cooked his meal. nakajima smiled as he watched ryuu happily eating breakfast.
the television faintly continued in the background, the sunlight shining through the thin curtains and then illuminating atsushi's pale toes. his smile faded as he began to admire akutagawa's attractive side profile. his heart started to pound inside his chest, gulping when he felt blood rushing up to his cheeks. it was like he was also having a fever, face all flushed.
"hey, jinko, aren't you going to eat..." akutagawa turned his head to the side to look at atsushi as he spoke, but then trailed off once he saw those pretty eyes staring right at him. he blinked a few times and then eventually looking away once he felt his cheeks heat up. it wasn't because of the fever anymore, though. "oh- oh, i'm sorry! i didn't mean t-" atsushi finally got back into reality but he got interrupted midway.
"jinko."
"y-yes?"
before answering, the black haired male placed the spoon he held atop the center table once more, bringing his knees close to his chest. "you see, i like this certain someone."
when nakajima heard ryuu said that, his face dropped along with his heart. he just stared at the other's face as he noticed his cheeks turn warm, he was blushing. somehow, his chest felt heavy than before. what is this feeling? he asked himself, not quite sure why he's feeling that way. he should be happy, right? he should be happy that akutagawa has a crush on someone like a normal person, but why?
"atsushi?" the pale male called, noticing that said name spaced out. atsushi flinched, coming back to reality, "o-oh, really? that's great, who is she?" he tried to smile, keeping eye contact with akutagawa. looking from the side, it was silence for a second. the black haired male observed the shorter one's expression. he could tell that he was forcing a smile, and that made him softly scoff.
he averted his gaze to the bowl of soup, "i like her very much. she has pale skin, soft hair, kissable lips and the most beautiful eyes i have ever seen," ryuu spoke, love filling his voice. he slightly smiled as he continued, "one night, i shoved her off because it was painful to see her. she came to my room with a bag full of medicines while wearing my teammate's favorite shirt. i was jealous and i felt hurt, so that's why i made her leave,"
atsushi was stunned. he dosen't want to assume things but it sounds like akutagawa was talking about him. this thought made his pale cheeks get dusted with slight pinkness, squeezing a spot of the carpet. ryuu continued, "i actually cried the day after while listening to music. i might love her so much that i want her all to myself, but i'm not really sure about what she really feels about me.."
he slowly trailed off, making eye contact with the other male beside him. he smiled, knowing that it's time for him to say what he truly feels. he can't run away and he dosen't want to deny the fact that he likes atsushi. he was confident, and so, he uttered, "what i'm trying to say is... i like you, jinko."
