Lexa Callero's POV

Like all my 'school days' morning routine, I'm awoken by the deafening noise of my alarm. Groaning, I get up and get ready for the day, dressing in a black tank top and fitted gray skirt, hiding a high selection of weapons under like usual. I apply minimal makeup, and twist my white hair to hide under my wig.

I quickly get out of my apartment, as I'm still firm on the idea of avoiding Kace. Now that the shipment mission is over, the only times I need to see him will be when we're acting around Elena and Dimitri. Dannazione, just the thought of those twins already lowered my fucking mood.

Luckily, I down pass by without him from the hall to the elevator. And I'm relieved to peer inside and realize it's empty. I drive the minor trip to school, and patiently wait in my car for the twins to arrive.

I see their black Porsche pull up and they hop on out. Elena is dressed as slutty as usual, and Dimitri is pretty calm. Groaning, I open my car door, ready to plant on a fake smile and happy mood for this dreading on-going mission.

"LEXA!!" Elena's annoying voice pierces my ears, possibly causing me to go deaf.

She full on sprints to me, looking like a mother fucking bulldog, and I try my outright hardest to keep a smile wide on my face. She embraces me in a suffocating hug, making my feel like my organs are being squished out of my body. I abso-fucking-lutely hate hugs, but my self control forces me to hesitantly wrap my arms back around her.

"Where have you been?! We've been going crazy!" she dramatically yells when she pulls away, using unnecessary and drastic hand movements.

"Sorry, I've been a bit sick. My phone also broke so I couldn't contact anyone. I had to get it fixed last night," I lie, not really caring that it's quite a pathetic one. Elena's ignorant ass is sure to believe it.

"Awweee I hope you're feeling better. Kace hasn't been here either do you know where he is?" she asks, making me slightly angry at the mention of Kace.

I don't know why Kace wouldn't come to school. That could have been a great chance for him to get an advantage by being around them without me. He could have easily left me unconscious alone while he came. Either way, I'm not complaining. I'm glad he didn't get to have a day alone with the twins. I like to be there, analyzing his progress, as I usually am.

"No, I haven't heard from him. He'll probably show up soon," I lie again, wanting to get away from the conversation. Dimitri soon comes walking up behind Elena towards us.

"Lexa, glad to see you here," he says with a wink, causing me to fake a smile. I'm getting way too sick of these bitches, I really need to step up my game.
