Music student Althea King learns the lyrics to a famous youtuber's song, but what happens when it turns out to be the beginning of their love story.

"Thank you everyone for coming out to listen to us tonight, it means the world! We've been the Bandits!" Althea cheerfully spoke into the microphone, announcing the concert to come to an end. A few cheers came from a few tablets in the pub as she gave a small wave, her back turning to gather up her belongings after the cheers had calmed. Her band were only able to get local pubs as gigs so far, they didn't play to many people.
"Not your best performance A, try and sharpen it up next time" Alex, the drummer, stated as the band members came together at the back of the stage.
"Come on Alex, give her a break will you" Rhys quickly jumped in with a frown, his Welsh accent coming through as he spoke. Rhys was the bass player ,he had always been Althea's favourite.
"Rhys it's fine" Althea replied with a reassuring smile. "Alex is right. I've been distracted so it wasn't my best performance" She agreed softly.
"See, positive criticism" Alex defended, even though he was known for his judgmental attitude. "Don't you agree Lewis?" he quickly asked, trying his hardest to build up his case.
"Don't get me involved" Lewis replied, putting his hands up in defence before heading over to pack up his electric guitar.
"Besides Alex, you should be thanking Althea, she's the one who got us a bigger following because of JJ" Rhys explained as he placed his bass in the case.
"Dude I get it, I was just making an observation" Alex replied with a small frown.
Althea sighed and shook her head. She hopped off the stage and headed towards a booth at the back of the pub, smiling when she was her friends who had come to watch her show.
"You were amazing as always!" Eve beamed as she stood up to give her best friend a hug. Herself, Ethan and JJ had all come to support Althea meanings it was her first gig since everything that had happened.
"You're so bias" Althea joked with a smile as she pulled back from Eve's hug, she decided to keep Alex's comments to herself.
"Shut up and accept my compliment" Eve joked back before sitting back in her seat next to Ethan.
"Eve's right, you guys were great" Ethan said softly with a smile before taking a sip of his pint. Ethan and Althea had been getting along really well since she was back friends with Eve.
"Guys stop with the compliments, you're making me blush" Althea laughed as she sat next to JJ, her blushes growing darker as JJ placed his hand on her knee under the table.
"Do you want a drink?" JJ asked softly before drinking the remaining contents of his glass. "I was about to go to the bar".
"A beer would be great, thank you" She replied warmly, looking up at JJ as she spoke. JJ nodded before heading over to the bar.
"So, are you two a thing?" Eve smirked, raising her eyebrows as she leaned closer to Althea.
Althea almost choked on air as she quickly shook her head. "No, we're just friends" she quickly replied to her friend, trying her best to sound genuine. Her and JJ were still keeping their relationship a secret, even their friends didn't know quite yet. Despite the fact she hated lying to Eve, she knew it was the right thing to do at this moment in time.
"Hmm, I'm keeping an eye on you two" Eve joked with a smirk as she leaned back into Ethan's arm.
Althea gave a nervous laugh as she looked up at JJ who was bringing over the drinks. "Thank you so much" She said grateful, moving over in her seat so JJ was able to get into the booth. The group talked for a while before JJ gasped when he remembered what he had to tell Althea.
"Oh shit, I almost forgot!" He beamed, putting his hand in his pocket before pulling out a white envelope. "Happy birthday" he said with a smile before handing the envelope to Althea.
"It's not my birthday yet" Althea chuckled softly before hesitantly taking the envelope from JJ. It was true, her birthday wasn't for another 2 weeks.
"Stop being weird and open the envelop" He laughed before nodding her to do so.
Althea smiled before opening the envelope. Inside were two plane ticket to Mykonos, a place Althea had always wanted to go. "Oh my god, what the fuck!" she squealed excitedly, her hands flying the tickets around in excitement.
The group of friends couldn't help but laugh at her reaction. "I know I said I would tell you what I had planned, but I knew you couldn't be angry with this surprise" He explained with a grin on his face.
"Thank you!! Thank you a hundred time" Althea beamed as she threw her arms around JJ, pulling him in a hug as she tried to digest the news.
"You're more than welcome, you deserve it" He replied as he hugged her back. "There's also more...." He added.
"What do you mean?" Althea asked curiously, pulling back to see his reaction.
"we're coming too!" Eve and Ethan exclaimed in unison, smiles on their faces as they told their friend the news, causing her to squeal again.
"And so are the rest of the gang" JJ added warmly with a smile.
"Oh my goodness!" Althea squealed again before rushing over to her best friend and engulfing her in a big hug. "What did I do to deserve you all" she said with a warm smile.
