18) Ice cubes

"This place is absolutely gorgeous" Katie beamed as she looked at the view in front of her. The girl gang were all currently sun bathing after arriving in Mykonos the night before. This was their first time to properly see the view after originally arriving when it was dark.

"I agree, I could stay here forever" Freya spoke with a content sigh from her deckchair next to Talia. Freya was so thankful for the opportunity to have a break with her friends as her and Josh were going through a rocky patch in their relationship. There was no major worries in their relationship, however they had both been very stressed after just moving in together. The holiday was the perfect excuse for them to relax a little.

"How have you been feeling recently Frey?" Althea asked as she lifted her sunglasses from her face to look at her friend.

Freya shrugged. "Ever since we moved in together we've both been really stressed. Don't get me wrong, I love Josh with all my heart but we both definitely see a difference now that we live together" She explained. "I swear his snoring is ten times worse" She added with a giggle that caused all the other girls to laugh.

"It's nice to see you guys taking the next step, I'm glad your happy" Althea smiled, getting up to gently hug her friend. "Does anyone want a refill?" she asked as she picked up her class after pulling back from her hug.

"Oh, me please!" Gee said thankfully as she handed her empty wine glass to Althea.

The dread headed girl took the glass before heading into the villa that they had rented out for the week. The group had definitely gone overboard in regards to the size, Althea had never stayed in a building as grand as this one. The villa was modernly decorated, with nine bedrooms which all had an ensuite, along with a private pool for the villa. She couldn't be more grateful.

Althea headed into the kitchen before stopping in her tracks when she was JJ with his back to her. She grinned as she spotted a pack of ice cubes on the table, it was too perfectly set up for her to ignore the opportunity. She crept over to the table and placed the cups down as quietly as she could before grabbing a handful of ice cubs. Luckily enough, JJ was humming to himself as he poured a drink so he didn't hear her. She tiptoed over to him before shoving the pile of ice cubes down his swimming short. Instantly a high pitches scream filled the villa.

"Fuck!" JJ screamed as he jumped up and down to try and loose the ice cubes from his shorts. Althea couldn't help but buckle over laughing at the scene in front of her.

"Oh my gosh, I can't breath" She cried of laughter as she clutched her stomach.

"You little shit" JJ breathed when the cold rush had calmed down, he eventually ended up laughing too. "Oh you're in for trouble" He added mysteriously before he wrapped his arms around Althea from behind, stopping her from moving.

The girl squealed as her boyfriend kissed the side of her head and down her neck. "JJ, what if someone hears us" She whispered with a smile as she leaned into him.

JJ looked around before taking her hand. "Come on, we've got around twelve minutes before someone realise we've gone missing" He said excitedly as he led her up to his room.

The girl couldn't help but giggle as she jogged upstairs with him. Apart of her got a thrill out of sneaking around with JJ, she felt like she was back at school doing something against the rules whilst trying not to get caught.

"What took you so long with those drinks? You were gone for like twenty minutes" Talia questioned as Althea came back to the pool side with two cups.

"Oh-uh- I just got caught up talking to Simon and Vik" Althea lied as she handed the drink to Gee. Luckily, since spending a lot more time with JJ, she had grown a strong friendship with Simon too, she was hoping her lie didn't sound too suspicious to her friends.

She absolutely hated lying to her friends since everyone was so open about their feelings and relationships. However, apart of her wasn't ready to tell everyone about JJ yet. The girl had never had a real relationship with anybody before, she was new to this and didn't want to ruin it by rushing into things.

"So uh, what time is everyone going to start getting ready for tonight?" She asked casually, trying her best to change the subject from recent disappearance.

"We were just talking about that, we were going to head up to our rooms in a few minutes" Eve said softly as she sat up from her deckchair, which earned a nod from Althea as she sat down.

The group of girls chatted for a few more moments before they all went up to their rooms to shower and get ready. Their regular routine was to shower and do their hair before all gathering into Gee's room to do their makeup and dress.

Althea turned on her shower before heading into the bedroom to grab a towel. However, before she could make it back to the bathroom there was a knock at the door. "Eve, I told you I don't have your hair curlers" she sighed as she headed to the door. "Oh, hi" She smiled when she was the person behind the door was not Eve.

JJ smiled and quickly slipped into the room before anybody saw him, closing the door behind him as he entered. "Hey, I just came to see if you were okay" he said hesitantly as he sat on the edge of her bed.

"What do you mean?" the girls asked in a confused tone as she could tell JJ seemed a little worried. she headed over to sit next to him, her eyes not leaving him.

"When the girls were talking about going out tonight, I noticed you seemed a little off... is everything okay?" He questioned.

Althea couldn't help but feel like a weight had been lifted off of her shoulders as her boyfriend spoke. In reality, Althea had been nervous all day about going clubbing tonight, it was the first time she had gone out drinking since the night of her attack a few months ago. She wanted to express her worries to somebody, however she thought they might see her as just being boring.

"Actually, I've been a little worried today.. It's the first night I'm going out after what happened a few months ago. Don't get me wrong, I really want to have a good time and it'll be nice to spend time with everyone, but... I just can't help but feel a little off" She explained with a sigh, her eyes not leaving her hands.

'Listen, you're going to be completely safe tonight, okay?" He told her softly but in a serious tone. He gently put his thumb on her chin for her to look at him. "I promise nothing is going to happen to you, I won't leave your side" He promised her as he looked into her eyes. "I won't let no low life scum hurt you".

"Thank you" She whispered before gently placing her lips to his. Despite her worries staying deep in the pit of her stomach, she knew she could trust JJ. She felt safe around him, something that she felt with only a few people. She would be okay.

Hellooooo! Long time no read!

I hope you enjoy this long chapter after me not updating in a while, I do apologise for that. Just to let you know, updates are not going to be as regular as they were a few months ago, but I promise not to let you wait as long as you did for this chapter.

I just spent this chapter giving you a small insight to JJ and Althea's relationship so far whilst their hiding it. There's going to be plenty of drama to come, stay tuned!
