"Damn why you always looking sexy?" I asked Jayda as she answered the FaceTime call. She turned her head trying keep me from seeing her blush but I seen it.
"What are you doing?"
"About to get ready for work and shit.. you?" I asked looking at the time on my watch. I had a good 10 minutes to talk and get dressed before had to be headed to work.
"Getting ready to go to the dinner." She rolled her eyes. I still couldn't believe her momma lied about who her dad is.
"Have you talked to your mom since everything went down?"
"No she keep texting and calling me though like she didn't have years to tell me the truth." Jayda said pacing the floor making me smirk. Every time she was nervous or upset she start pacing.
"I know what she did was fucked up but it's going to be okay baby." I said grabbing my work clothes.
"Yeah but enough about her, so... I'm supposed to be meeting David's side of the family for Christmas and I want you to come with me."
"You sure you want me to come?" I asked changing into my work clothes.
"Jayda! You ready I need to make a run." David yelled one the background.
"Yes here I come!" She answered. "Yes honey I want you to come meet my family with me. But I'll text you."
"Alright baby I talk to you later." I hung up and finished getting ready for work before checking my Instagram feed.
