Marinette's POV

The rain poured down, making the morning even colder as a ran into school. I pushed passed everyone because I was going to be late, and slammed right into someone.

I looked up to see who was my latest victim, and scrunched my nose when I sae the face.

"You." I muttered pushing myself off of him.

"Hell yeah it's me. Don't worry Marinette...I am used to ugly girls like you falling all over me." He snapped snarkily.

My mouth fell open in disgust. Who does this guus think he is?

I was about to snap back with a good comeback, when a bunch of his guys friends came to help him incase things got heated.

I just left it at a disappointed stare and sulked away.

Twirling my hair in my fingers, I wondered if I was really that bad looking?

Adrien's POV

Marinette came into the classroom looking hurt and just sick to the stomach. She'd been acting strange around everyone for the past couple days, and I could tell something was wrong.

She plopped down next to Alya and burried her head in her arms.

During the lesson I couldn't help but notice muffled sobs come from behind me.

Whoever did this to her would pay!

Lunchtime came slower than ever.

When I came to the lunch table, I notived Marinette was missing.

"Where's Marinette?" I asked quickly.

"Not sure. She is probably just in the bathroom." Alya said, popping a grape into her mouth.

Marinette's POV

Tears rolled down my cheeks and I immediately wiped them away.

I was Ladybug! I am supposed to be strong! A little insult from someone like Josh should be like a little bug bite. Nothing to worry about.

But if it was a bug bite, it was poisonous and spread through my body causing a dull pain inside.

I didn't have the antidote.

My phone rang. As soon as I looked at the screen, I freaked. I saw the time.

Lunch was almost halfway over!!

I ignored the call and swung open the stall door. I spashed cold water up onto my face.

The water always helped my tears. I quickly shuffled to my lunchtable, not wanting any more confrontations from Josh.

"Are you okay Marinette, you're eyes are a little red." Adrien pointed out, worry etched in his face.

"Oh yeah, I was....coughing bit! I mean...having a coughing fit..." I tried, my stutter never failing to leave me alone.

I sighed. "I'm okay."

I didn't feel very hungry, so I just talked with Alya until lunch was over.

~After Lunch Outside The School~

Just as I was about to get into my car, I felt a slight tap on the shoulder.

I was worried it was Josh, but was relieved to see it was only Adrien.

"Ah! Oh...H-hey Adrien! What's up?"

He scratched the back of his neck nervously, "Well...here's the thing Marinette. I-... Are you alright? You've been clearly hurt mentally or physically and...I heard you crying in class..."

Dangit! I need to keep a lower profile! There was no way I could tell anyone what was happening. They'd think I was a chicken!

"Um...yeah I'm okay Adrien. Th-thanks for asking."

I relectantly wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him into a hug. He held me tightly, and it felt as if all the things Josh had said floated away.

After a couple seconds, I stepped back and got into my car, "See you later Adrien!" I called out before driving home.

When I got out of my car, I notoced someone leaning against a streetlight.

"Hey Marinette. I saw you with pretty boy today. You know? I never told you that you could love anyone else?" Josh said revealing his face.

I gasped as his lips crashed on mine. What is happening?!
