Realization

JOSH'S POV

I knew that if I had any chance with Marinette, I'd have to act fast 'cause Agreste is moving in. I saw her walking down the hall laughing with Adrien, and got an amazing idea. Maybe then he'd leave her alone.

I walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey," I said swiftly and planted a long, passionate kiss on her lips. She squeaked in surprise and tried to push me away.

MARINETTE'S POV

What did this jerk think he was doing? Kissing me?! And in front of Adrien?! I pushed him, but he didn't budge, so I pushed him even harder and pulled myself away. "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING JOSH?" I screamed and slapped him in the face.

ADRIEN'S POV

This guy has some nerve. I felt rage build up in me as she tried to push him away. It took all the willpower in the world not to punch him. Apparently, it wasn't enough. I gently moved Marinette out of the way and punched him and held him to the wall by his shirt collar, "What the hell do you think you're doing? Hasn't she made it clear she isn't interested?" I got even angrier when he smiled slyly and snickered, "Someone jealous?"
I flinched, but only for a second. "Leave. her. alone. End of story." I ordered and dropped him. He scurried away, but when I turned to Marinette I was petrified. She looked so scared and like she was about to cry.

Everyone had gone to class, so Marinette and I were the only ones left in the hall. "Marinette, I just wanted to protect—."
"Why did you ever care to do that if I'm just a friend." She whispered.
"You're just a friend becauese you were talking about you're crush yestereday—wait. You want to be more than friends?"

"Adrien...just leave me alone for now. I don't feel well." She said, and walked away.
