We had so much fun that day; it was a quiet day, sunny, with light breezes. Freddy stayed at my side holding my hand, only letting go for brief moments at a time. My friends and I lay in the grass feeling the slow cool breezes on our faces, and listening to the rustle it caused the grass. It was so serene, a moment that could have easily been mistaken for the calm after the world ended. To me, that's exactly what it felt like.
My world was coming to an end. This was the last time I would be next to them, feel their warmth, hear their voices. Life for me would not be the same.
"What do you guys wanna do today?" Chica asked, laying a few feet away from me.
"I think it should be up to (Y/N)." Bonnie replied.
It didn't take me long to think about an answer.
"Nothing." I smiled, sighed, and closed my eyes. "Absolutely nothing at all. Tomorrow is a big day. We need our rest. And though tomorrow is going to be chaotic and emotional, being here like this with you gives me peace of mind, if only temporarily."
"Then we will remain here with you, until the end." Foxy stated. I smiled.
From then, it was just a quiet day, and I took that time to breathe, and ready my nerves. At that point, I really didn't know what to do, except wait for the moment to come. But no matter how I prepared myself, no matter how ready I told myself I was, nothing could prepare me for what was to come.
Chica went inside a few times to get snacks and make lunch. She of course made pizza, which we enjoyed in the grass.
I barely had the appetite though, so I only ate one piece. Everyone else pigged out, like they hadn't a care in the world. I was okay with just watching that.
I fell asleep on Freddy's chest before I knew it. I wished so badly to stay up on our last day together.
____________When I woke up, I was in my bed. I was next to freddy, still asleep. I didn't move, as not to disturb him. The moment he woke up, we would have to go to work. Here we were, the say we would hunt down Springtrap and I still wasn't ready. I sighed.
"So, you're awake." Freddy mentioned, his eyes still closed
"You were awake this whole time?" I asked, regretting breathing too loudly.
"Yes. I'm just not ready for today." He chuckled, and turned over to face me. "I'm in no hurry, because I want to stay with you. On the other hand, after today, you'll finally be free. That's something I look forward to, regardless of how I feel."
I was quiet. I didn't know what to say.
The rest of the morning was quiet too, we had prepared for everything that day in complete silence. But that was the last time we would have sat together, the last time we ate together. I didn't know why everyone decided to not make it special.
"First things first," Uncle began, loading a shot gun. "We need to go to the pizzeria and get Rockstar Bonnie. In case little Vinny doesn't want to play fair."
"Why do you call him that?" I asked, laughing. "You make him sound like he isn't such a threat."
"He has yet to take you down right? He ain't shit."
That of course granted a chuckle from everyone. I appreciated Uncle trying to lighten the mood.
We piled into the truck and got going to the pizzeria. From there, we put Rockstar Bonnie into the back, using the excuse that we needed to bring him to the original designer for maintenance. While we were there, we looked around the place for any openings, Gordon looking up any old blue prints that might have given us a clue. There weren't any, and we didn't find any other entrances to the underground facility. On the inside, the wall we built over the door to the hall leading to the elevator wasn't touched either. So there was no way Springtrap could have been down there.
We then went to the old site of our house, looking around for any letters he may have left since he had done so before, knowing we would return there. He was nowhere to be found, and neither was a letter. So we moved on.
Lastly, we were to check the warehouse we had rescue Chica from, a while back. It was darker than the last time we saw it. He had to have been in there.
We went around to the underground entrance we found before. Uncle knelt down to look at the way the door was made.
"Shiny new hinges." He stated, before explaining, "And if you look hard enough, you can see a wire running underneath. He rigged it. He knew we would return here and try to get back in, and thought he'd blow us up. Well...he tried..." he laughed as he grabbed a pistol from his belt.
"Look over here!" Chica waved to get our attention. Then pointed to a small black orb, hardly noticeable. We had to really squint to see it. How chica saw, was beyond me.
"A camera." Well, he knows we're here now. Freddy concluded.
Gordon walked up to the camera, examining it a little further.
"This is a camera wired to observe from really close. Not the kind that would give off a signal to let him see while he hid far away. So he definitely knows we are here if he's inside." Gordon explained.
"Which means anything can happen, because he is ready for us." Foxy stated."Well, if he knows we're here, no use in trying to make a quiet entry, right?" Uncle laughed again. He walked to the truck, and stepped into Rockstar Bonnie. He then proceeded to bust through the front door, and had fun doing it.
When the dust cleared, all we saw was Springtrap, sitting on a worn down told out chair, with the animatronic's permanent grin. Before anyone of us got a chance to say or do anything, Marty steppedin between Springtrap and us.
"Marty...?" I said softly. I didn't recognize the look on his eyes, not to mention how they were now glowing red. He wasn't that happy, gentle Marty we all knew, the one so soft and kind. This wasn't the puppet we saw. This was the angry girl who was killed on her birthday. This was Charlie.
