Where we found her

Aangs POV

I decided that our first stop on the way to the North Pole should be to visit home, and see if my people escaped. Katara and Sokka keep telling me to not get too excited and be let down, I haven't lost hope. If they are all dead that would make me the last Airbender, I don't like the sound of that.

"Hold on tight" I say as I steer Appa up the steep mountain, we reach the top and we see it, the southern air temple,

"We're home buddy, we're home." I say to Appa.

This temple was my life and memories, I hope what Katara and Sokka say about the genocide of my people isn't true.

We walk in and I stand on the ledge telling stories of where I'd play with my fellow monks and where the lemurs and bison slept, I sigh

"I can't believe how much things have changed." There was no life anywhere this place was deserted.

I played Sokka, who stupidly challenged me to airball and got blown away.
I lead my friends up the stairs and see a statue of my old teacher,

"Hey guys there's someone I want you to meet, this is monk gyatso he taught me everything I know." I said.

A memory appeared in my head of monk gyatso and I sitting on the balcony, he mentioned something about the Air temple sanctuary and when I was ready someone would reveal themselves to me. I open my eyes,

"You must really miss him," Katara said

"Yeah," i began walking up the stairs,

"Where are you going?" Sokka asked,

"The Air temple sanctuary, there's someone I'm ready to meet." I said as I reached the hall, with them following behind me.

As I approached the door I heard a banging from the inside, like someone was trying to open it. The banging became weaker and stopped. I ran towards the door and started bending air into the pipes,

Maybe I'm not the last airbender! I thought eagerly. The door finally cracked open, and I saw someone lying on the floor.

I ran to them, not sure who or how they got inside or how long they'd been in there. I picked them up and looked at her, she looked to be about my age, she had short light brown hair, small freckles only on her nose, airbender master tattoos, deep black circles around her eyes she obviously hadn't slept in a while and she looked very underweight.

"Guys!" I yelled, Sokka ran in,

"MEAT! oh wait what is that?" He asked as he approached me,

"I'm not sure but I heard her banging on the door, who knows how long she's been in here," I say, not taking my eyes off her.

"We should get out of here and find her a doctor, she looks very sick." Katara said kneeling down to look at her.

"That's a good idea." I say, I couldn't believe it I wasn't the last airbender after all!

We made our way to Appa, I was holding her in a bride style. I placed her down in Appas saddle and let Katara hold her while I took the reins. We made our way to an island and when I saw the statue I knew exactly who it was,

"Kyoshi island!" I say as I landed Appa in the centre of town.

A couple girls wearing makeup and green outfits walked towards us,

"Who are you and why are you here?" One of the girls said,

"I'm Aang, I'm the Avatar. Would you guys know where the nearest doctor is, our friend is very sick and we need help As soon as possible." I asked, I took the girl from Katara and held her.

"Oh my," she said when she saw the girl in my hands, "right this way, Avatar."

"Just Aang is ok." I smiled "and you are?" I asked as I followed her, Sokka and Katara next to me,

"Suki," she said,

"Nice to meet you Suki, I'm Katara and this is my brother Sokka." Katara said.

We entered the hut and followed Suki to a room with a bed in the middle, I layed the girl down and a doctor walked in,

"Hi I'm Dr Yin, what seems to be the problem here?" He asked,

"Hi I'm Aang, we found this girl alone, we don't know for how long but she's knocked out and seems very underweight." I said,

"Ahh I see." He said, he lifted the girls shirt up a little to reveal her ribcage, she looked emaciated. "Oh deer, she needs to eat something soon, we will get her awake as fast as we can, it looks like we don't have much time, may I ask you to go sit in the main room. We will call you back when she's up." Dr Yin said

"No problem." Katara said walking out of the room.

We sat in the main entrance from 2 hours, Sokka left to go find himself something to eat but Katara and I sat there still,

"Do You think she's an airbender?" Katara asked,

"Of course she's an air bender, she has master tattoos." I said,

"That's incredible, I can't believe she survived! But how?" Katara questioned.

"I have no clue, we will have to ask her when she wakes up."

"Avatar Aang, Katara and Sokka. She's awake." Dr yin said.

How do ya like this chapter hehe thought I'd leave on a cliff hanger so you'd be mad at me jkjk. I wonder who she is??
