Maleries POV
I woke up with a jolt and sweat dripping from my forehead,

"Just a nightmare," I sighed to myself. I looked around, it was still dark and everyone was still asleep. I decided to take a walk around camp by myself.

The night was cold and I could feel goose bumps form on my back. I touched the necklace that hung off my neck, it was a gift from my birth mother, it was a gold chain with the air nomad symbol on it in a circle. It was all I had of her, I never got to meet my parents because I was sent away to the sisters not too long after birth.

I don't know when my birthday is so I always just said it was in December. I came across a large stream with lots of beautiful wildlife, the plants surrounding it were tall and hid it away from view, it was pretty,

"I'll have to remember this spot for another time," I said to myself and headed back to camp. The sun had just begun rising and every one was starting to get restless in their sleeping bags, they would wake soon.

And with that thought Aang sat up rubbing his eye,

"Oh, morning Mal, how long have you been up?" He asked,

"Eh, one or two hours, I couldn't sleep." I shrugged, Katara sat up and walked to Appa to collect something from her bag,

"Good morning Aang, Mal, where are we headed today are we gonna get some more flying done for the North Pole?" She asked,

"I was thinking of visiting Omashu, there's something I want to show you guys," Aang grinned, butterflies flew in my stomach, I shook my head to clear my thoughts.

Sokka grunted, "quieeetttt I'm trying to sleeep hereee." He dragged in a sleep-deprived way. I stoped talking but Katara and Aang annoyed with him until he woke up.

A few minutes passed and we had packed up camp and jumped on Appa. Aang took the reins as we flew,

"Hey Mal, come here for a second." Aang asked, I quietly got up and sat next to him on appas head,

"Did you have a bison?" He asked me as he pet Appas fur,

"Yeah, Alla." I said looking to the sky,

"That's awesome," he said, I didn't respond, I didn't really know how to.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bring up a touchie topic," he said looking back down,

"Oh,no no no. I just like to be quiet sometimes, don't think I'm mad or upset when I do that, it's just habit," I laughed,

"I wish Sokka had that habit," Katara smirked, we all laughed.

We landed on a mountain and looked down, it was beautiful, I never really left the temple so visiting beautiful cities like this was rare and quite a sight to see.

"The earth kingdom, city of omashu." Aang said proudly causing Sokka and Katara to look out at the sight,
"I used to come here all the time to visit my friend bumi,"

"Wow! We don't have cities like this in the South Pole!" Katara said in awe,

"They have buildings here that don't melt!" Sokka said in the same tone as Katara. I again stayed silent,

'Jeez i gotta break this habit or ill get left behind' I thought to myself

"Well let's go slow pokes, the real fun is inside the city!" Aang said jumping up, I grabbed him fast,

"Wait Aang, it could be dangerous if people find out you're the avatar," I said gently pulling him down, "let's get disguises!" I said letting go of Aangs leg.
