Where Do Broken Hearts Go?

CHAPTER SIX

Nagising ako at napansing gabi na dahil sa ingay ng katok sa labas ng bahay.

"Of course, someone has to ruin my sleep right?" I ask myself before standing up and fixing myself.

Pinagbuksan ko ang sino mang hayop na kumakatok sa labas at nakitang si Charlie iyon

"What the hell is your problem?" Mahinang asik ko

"You!" Sigaw niya pa

"Me? Can't you see I'm sleeping? Can't you respect that because maybe I need to rest?" I shouted back

"I told you to call me" mahinahong sabi niya na ngayon

"I don't need anything so there is no reason for me to call you" irap ko sakanya saka umupo sa sofa.

"Hindi ko sinabing tawagan mo ako pag may kailangan ka, sabi ko tawagan mo ako" sabi niya saka pumunta nang kusina.

Napairap na lamang ako at tumingin sa pintong kulang na lang sirain niya na dahil sa pagkalampag dun.

"Eat. You haven't eat anything yet since you left my house" pagkasabi niya non saka ako nakaramdam ng gutom.

It's already 8 in the evening and yes I'm hungry but I don't have the appetite to eat.

I just look at the food blankly.

"I said eat." He said in a monotone

"I don't feel like eating" I said

"Who cares. You need to eat" punong puno na ang bibig niya kakakain

"How much is this house nga pala? I thought this is not a beach resort?" I ask pouring water on the glass

"This is really not a beach resort. And this house is free, wala nang nakatira dito at sabi ng may ari ay patirhan na lang daw ng libre" he explained

"If this is not a beach resort then what do you call this place?"

"A place where people live with a normal and peaceful life. This is home, Alvi" he said as a matter of fact.

I nod. This is home?

"Eat" he again said

"I said I don't feel like eating Charlie"

"Eat" he ignored what I said. I just shrugged at him then stand up to go to the shower.

I am in the bath tub for about 15 minutes before deciding to get up. I just wore my bath robe because I don't have clothes with me here in the bathroom.

Paglabas ko nakita ko si Charlie na pinupunasan ang kamay, kakatapos lang maghugas. Paglingon niya sa gawi ko ay napalunok siya at nag iwas ng tingin.

"Lock the door when you leave. I'm sleeping." Pumasok na ako sa kwarto ko at humiga sa kama.

I didn't bother to do my night skin care routine. Actually di ko na talaga ginagawa yun since I got hear. Hindi na din ako nagpalit ng damit, nilock ko naman ang pinto so I think it's fine.

I don't have anything under my bath robe. Just my bath robe.

Kahit kakagising ko lang, I tried my best to sleep again. I'm not ready to entertain thoughts this time.

1 week have past and all I did was to sleep all day. I barely eats. Ni hindi ko na nga maiwan ang higaan ko eh. Pumupunta si Charlie kasama si Mang Juds, hinihikayat ako na lumabas para makita ang kagandahan ng buong isla ngunit wala ako sa kundisyon para gawin yun.

Totoong napaka ganda ng islang ito kahit na kakaonti pa lamang ang aking nakikita ngunit hindi ako pumunta dito para magbakasyon.

Ngayon nandito ako sa malaking sofa, nakahiga iniisip kung nailibing na ba si lola.
