Tsukushima Kei x Reader - Love and Hate Part 1/2

You and Tsukishima are like Hinata and Kageyama but without the relationship of friendship. Everyday it seems like you and Tsukishima have nothing to do everyday but banter everytime you see each other. Aside from the fact that you train with them (since training with men are much more challenging than training with women, no offense) and see him every training, you and him were classmates, which added to your frustrations, along with Yamaguchi. You wondered how Yamaguchi can stick up to that guy.

It was another day at school and you were at your seat doing your assignment which was due at the same day. You were caught up with your binge watching. 'If I didnt watch the whole season of Haikyuu last night maybe I wouldn't be cramming.' You thought as you try to finish up you assignment.

The door of the classroom opened and there came Tsukishima and Yamaguchi. Tsukishima saw you doing your assignment and this gave him the chance to make fun of you. " (L/n) can't you even finish up this one simple assignment for one night? I wonder how you graduated from middle school." He said as he laughed at you at an annoying way. "Why don't you go and bother someone else. Don't have much friends to talk around? Maybe if you were a little bit friendly maybe you will be talking with somebody else." You retorted, looking up from your paperwork and glared at him. He was about to come back at you when the bell rang and the teacher came. Guess that ended your first banter in the morning.

It was after class and training is about to start soon. You picked up your things and started heading to the gym. "(F/n) wanna head there together?" Yamaguchi asked you as he and Tsukishima were also about to go to the gym. "With you I might, but together with that grumpy pole around might as well go by myslef. Thanks anyway Tadashi." You smiled at the green headed boy and went on your way.

---Training Time---

You guys were having a 6 vs 6 match with Kageyama, Hinata, Daichi, Asahi, Tsukishima, Tanaka, ang Nishinoya on one team and you, Sugawara, Yamaguchi,Enoshita, Narita, and Kinoshita. Though you weren't tall as the others you were taller than Hinata but can't jump as well as him. Your only advantage is you know where to hit the ball, receive, dig, and can block with just the right timing.

The score is 14-11, Daichi's team is clearly to win but that doesn't mean that you guys won't fight back, plus you don't want to do the diving drills. This set-up might be unfair but coach Ukai want to see what they can do. You were the opposite hitter and blocking the wing spiker is your toughest job. Though you can't stop them at least you can help the team by slowing it down.

"Nice serve Tadashi!!!" You encouraged. Yamaguchi took a breath and served. It was a nice serve but Nishinoya received it well. You looked at Kageyama and think where he would set. Your intuition seems to tell you they were doing a quick so you jumped. Your intuition was right, Tukishima spiked the ball but your hand was there.

You didn't do a kill block but the ball bounce from your hands towards the backside of Tsukishima's court. Nishinoya tried to save the ball but was to far away. "Yeah!!!" You screamed as you were able to score a point unintentionally. "Nice block (F/n)!!!" Sugawara cheered as you both hand fived each other.
You turned to face Tsukishima and smirked. Who would've thought you score blocked him. "You've got lucky, next time it won't be." He turned away from you as coach Ukai taught them.

"Hinata, Tsukishima. As you can see what (F/n) did, all she did was trying to time her block with the spike. Though she may not be tall but timing takes it away."
"Sugoi (F/n)-san." Hinata was impressed and he looked at you like he was looking at the Little giant. "Thanks Sho-chan." You gave him a sheepish smile. Tsukishima was not taking this lightly and spoke to Kageyama. "Give it to me, I will score this one." Kageyama noticed that Tsukishima was kinda angry but he just shrugged it off and continued to concentrate.

Now the score was deuce. Everyone is a little bit tense. You and Tsukishima are in the front line and there was aura surroinding you guys that tells everyone to back away or die. "This will be gonna be an easy block." You taunted him. He just tsked.

"With your height it may be even a free spike." He retorted. "But it doesn't seem that way during the set." You smirked which irked him. You may not have stopped him but almost every spike of Tsukishima you were able to touch it. It was Sugawara's serve and you know how well he can serve. He knows where to put the ball which can put you guys to an advantage.

"Nice serve Kou-chan!!!!" You said. Confidently Sugawara served the ball and it went in front of Tsukishima. You guys know that Tsukishima can't receive well. Tsukishima tried to receive but it was a bit off, but it was nothing to Kageyama as long as the ball is high he can set it well. 'Left? Middle? Back?' You were thinking, you look at the position of Kageyama's hand and it seems that he was gonna set it to the middle. 'Time lag?' You thought. Maybe. But that was your only choice. You see Narita jump for the quick. 'Shit' You cursed but this was no time to panic. You jump as Tsuki jumped. As Tsuki spike the ball you had touched it. "One touch!!!!' You shouted.

"Chance ball!!!!" Sugawara yelled out. Yamaguchi first ball then knowing it was chance ball everyone did a synchronize play. Then Sugawara set the ball to you and you spiked it. As Nishinoya tried to recceive it, it went off from his arms. "Yeah!!!!!" everyone in your team yelled and cheered for you.

Tsukishima is now pissed. How can a girl block his attack, how can she read them. With the anger filliing him up he was now desperate to break your block, to score, to win, but especially to defeat you. "Kageyama give it to me." He spoke deeply.

Kageyama just agreed at he angered 190cm tall man.
"One last point guys!!!!" You said. Sugawara served and crap it went to Nishinoya who received it perfectly. "Middle!!!!" Enoshita screamed as he sees the ball was about to be set up. You were a second late but that didn't stop you from blocking. You jumped as high as you can trying to stop the giant.

--- Tsukishima Kei's POV ---

'I cannot let her beat me to this game. Only strong players can stay in the court and I am clearly taller and stronger than her'. As Sugawara served Nishinoya received it perfectly and now it was the time to their play. Tsukishima can clearly see that (L/n) was late to react with their play. She jumped but that wasn't enough. Tsukishima can see an opening but before he spike the ball he thought. 'Do I hit it clean or try to break her block.' Tsukishima was angered at the fact that (L/n) was able to touch his spike he spike the ball as hard as he can into her hand. The ball bounce away and it was their score. But as he landed he saw that (L/n) was on the floor crouching and hand held close to her.
