when Mia Byers moved to Derry, Maine, with her twin El and their friends Will, Jonathon and Joyce, she expected the rest of the year to be fun. she didn't expect to be involved in the evil truth of the town with seven other kids.
Well f*** nuggets. I do the most logical thing I know. I turn and run. I run to the woods. I'm running and running and then I fall. I fall into some hole which is some underground room. I get up and look around. It's small but cozy. I hear a voice and footsteps. I run into the dark shadows of the room. I see the boy climb down. "Are you in here? I heard you fall in." He says. I try to push my self to the wall but end up knocking something down. S***! He walks over to me. I hope I'm still unnoticeable. I feel something touch my hand and I jerk my hand away. I try to run but run into something, well someone. We both fall and I land on top of him. "I am so sorry!!!" I yell and get up. I back away back into the shadows. I never have been scared of the dark, for I originate from the shadows. He grabs my hand and pulls me to the soft light of the moon. "You have powers?! How do you have powers?!" He whisper yells. "Well I grew up in a lab where they tested me because I was born with many powers. Wait, why am I telling you this? I don't even know a single thing about you!" I whisper yell back.
"Well I'm Edward kasbrak, call me Eddie. I hate germs, I have a very overprotective mom, and I have six other friends called the losers club. Whatever you do, don't pay attention to Richie. Hes a trashmouth and huts on every girl he sees. He talks about very innapropriatte topics at tge most unwanted times, and has no control over what he says. Then there's Bill. He stutters, has brother went missing, but don't say anything about it to him. He doesn't like talking about it. He likes Beverly, the only girl in the club. She's abused by her dad, has a lot of rumors about her. She's not very sensitive, but don't make her angry. Then Stanley. Hes jewish, noodle hair, his dad's hard on him. He's pretty sensitive. Then Mike's homeschholed. Hes an orphan. And then Ben's a bookworm. Hes really smart and built this place. This is our clubhouse." He says really fast.
I barely understand what he says. I nod. "Ok then. I think I might get along with Richie. He single?" I ask. Eddie rolls his eyes annoyed. "I was joking Ed's." I laugh. "Don't call me Ed's! Richie calls me that and its f***in annoying!!" Hes annoyed. "Fine. Let's see.....eddie rhymes with spagetti, so Eddie spagetti!!!" I say with a smile. "You are like a girl versoin of richie!!" He says. "You might wanna get home, because if he's as innapropriatte as you say, hes with your mom." I say laughing. He turns red with annoyance. "Ok you are as annoying as Richie." He says. I smile. "I was the 'most annoying kid in Hawkins'. Thats what the kids at school said anyway." I say. "Do you hear that Ed's? Its your mom! I can hear her from here!!" I say and start poking him. He starts trying to stifle laughter. I stop poking and start tickling him. He continues to stifle laughter. He fights back and reaches to tickle my neck but I dodge his attack and laugh. I reaches again but I limbo and end up falling on my a**. He gets on his knees and tickles me. I burst out laughing. "Eddie!! Stop it!!" I say between laughs. He shakes his head.i grab his hands and push them away. I get up and try to regain my breath. My stomach hurts from laughing so much. I help him up and we're both still slightly laughing. I hug him. "My first grind in this s*** a** town." I say. He hugs me back. I let go and climb up the ladder. "Lets get back to our houses." He says and I nod. "Race ya!" I say and start running. "Hey! You got a head start!!" He yells from behind me and starts running.
I get back right before him and Will and El are waiting in the driveway. "Have fun with your new boyfriend?" El asks. I roll my eyes. "He isn't my boyfriend. Hes just my first friend since we moved." I say and push up my glasses. Will nods slyly. "Suurrrreee....." He says. I roll my eyes and ruffle his bowl cut. I yawn and go to my room. I change into my pajamas.

I sit in my bed and read for about 2 hours. And then I drift off to sleep.
I wake up back in the clubhouse. I look around. The party is there. "You're leaving us. Youre leaving us for a stupid losers club. I cant beleive you. At least Will and El aren't leaving us." Lucas said. Mike walks up and pushes me down. Dustin says "I thought you were our friend." I start crying. They all disappear to show a clown. He lunges at me. I close my eyes in fear but he doeant reach me. I open my eyes and hes gone. And then I feel him grab me from behind.
I wake up screaming. My pjs stick to me with sweat rolling down my forehead. I check my clock. 1:27 a.m. i lay back doqn and fall into a dreamless sleep.
