when Mia Byers moved to Derry, Maine, with her twin El and their friends Will, Jonathon and Joyce, she expected the rest of the year to be fun. she didn't expect to be involved in the evil truth of the town with seven other kids.
I woke up the next morning. I recalled the dream i had. It seemed so real. But it couldnt be. And the clown.....the clown I saw on my way into Derry... I make my bed and go to the bathroom to do my morning routine. I brush my hair and get dressed.

I put a light blush and mascara on and go in the kitchen. "Good morning boring people. If im not back by tonight, I'm with a boy." I say. "Yeah, your boyfriend Edward kasbrak." El says. I roll my eyes. "No, and he goes by Eddie. Now bye!!" I say and walk outside. I knock on the kasbrak's door. Mrs kasbrak opens it. "Hello Mrs kasbrak. Im here to see Eddie? He said he'd show me around Derry today." I say. She smiles fairly. "EDDIE BEAR!!!! SOMEBODY IS HERE TO SEE YOU!!!!" She yells. A few moments later, the door opens to reveal Eddie. "Eddie, be careful and don't touch anything. Don't lose your fannypack and stay safe!!" She rants about germs. He nods and pulls me away before she can say anything else. I laugh and get on my bike. "Wow your mom is overprotective. I don't see why that guy Richie would like her." I say giggling. He rolls his eyes abd rides away. I speed up. "Wait "Eddie bear!!" I say laughing my a** off. He flips me off.
After he shows me Derry, we head to the quarry. As sson as we get there, I see 5 other kids. One was black, another was kinda chubby, one was tall and kinda cute, one had really curly blonde hair. He was also cute. And then there was one with black hair that was slightly curly. He had glasses. They were all in nothing but underwear. "Eddie I'm gonna leave." I say and look over but he was now in nothing but underwear now. "Are you gonna swim with us?" He says. "Ugh. Fine." I say and strip down to my bra and underwear. The one with glasses whistles and i flip him off. "F*** off a**wipe." I say. I run and jump off. The air flies by and i hit the water. I start to sink but swim up and break the surface. I flip them all off because they're still on tne cliff. "Scaredy cats!!!!" I yell and swim out of the way. I see them jump one at a time. I go underwater and grab a random ankle and pull the person under. I look to see the other boy with glasses. My eyes widen and I go back to the top. "Which one of you is which?" I say. "I'm Stan. I'm Jewish." The one with curly blonde hair. "Ok. Stan is the one with noodle hair." I say. "I'm b-b-bill. Please f-forgive my stutter." The one qith reddish brown hair says. "Its fine." I say and smile reassuringly at him. "Im Ben. I know the most about Derry history." Says the chubby one. I nod. "Cool." I say. "I'm Mike. Im homeschooled." Says the black boy. I nod. "I had a friend named Mike in Derry. He dates my twin." I say. I turn to face the boy with glasses. "So that means your Richie. I saw Eddie's mom earlier and she was talking so much about you." I say jokingly and sarcastically. He smiles. "She does love me and yes im Richie." He says. He swims up beside me and wraps him arm around my shoulders. "I like this girl." "But what about Eddie's mom?" I say. "She'll be heartbroken!" I say dramatically. "Oh God Eddie. You and to bring a girl Richie and let them meet each other?! Now we have to deal with double!!" Stan says. "Something wrong or are you tired of people buying your hair and cooking it?" I say. Richie laughs and stan rolls his eyes. "Oh God. Now double Richie...." He says. We continue spashing around and having fun. I go underwater and grab another ankle and it's Richie again. While we're underwater, he grabs my waist. I pretend to swoon and faint. He smiles jokingly Andes go. We go back up.
We get out and wrap up in towels. I dry off and put my clothes back on. "No!! We can't see her anymore!!" Richie says dramatically. "No, but you can always go to eddies mom. Don't make too much noise though. I live next door to them." I say abd Eddie rolls his eyes. "You were right Stan." He says and facepalms. I laugh. I put my towel back in my bag and grab my bike. "I need to get home. I told everyone if i wasn't home by dark, I was with a boy." I say laughing. "Ok. Bye sweetcheeks." Richie says. I flip him off and ride away.
I walk inside to see El and Will. "Have fun?" Will says. I nod and hug him. "I haven't forgotten you will the wise." I say. I walk to my room and close my door. I turn to see Richie. "What the h*** are you doing here?!" I whisper yell. He walks closer and i back away. It morphs into the clown and pins me to the wall by grabbing my neck. I dont do anything out of fear. After a few seconds I feel my eyes roll ibto the back of my head and him drop me.
I wake up to Will holding me. "Are you ok? I walked in to see you on tne ground with a handmark on your neck. It's a large bruise now." He says. I nod and fall back asleep. I couldn't deal with this right now. And I didn't want to. Plus, my neck hurts.
