After riding non-stop for a whole day I finally reached Mirkwood. Returning into the forest brought back memories, not all good unfortunatly. Before I came into view of the guards at the front gates, I made sure the hood of my cloak was covering my identity.
Only then I ride further towards the gates. When I did a guard immediatly stopped me.
"Stop. Who are you?"a guard I did not recognise questioned.
" The King is expecting me. I was called by himself and Radagast the Brown."I replied, my hood still covering my identity.
"How do we know you are not lying" the same guard said with a very confident look on his face. A bit to confident, that will soon vanish once he hears what I am about to tell him.
"Well then if you don't allow me to enter, you can explain to your King. Explain to him when your kingdom is dead and your people have been massacered why you would not allow the Maara Witch into the Kingdom." I told him whilst I pulled my hood down and let my aburn hair cascade down my back. Both the guards expressions turned to shock and both unable to bring out a proper word. I raised my eyebrows at them.
"You were saying gentlemen?"
"You... you can... can enter" they both stuttered at the same time. Gosh by valour what great guards they are! If this is how the Kingdoms defensive systems are, then it is now clear why Ragagast called for my help. Useless people, hopefully the Guard was put into good hands when I left. Into the hands of someone who is skilled, strong and clever-minded. Someone like Legolas.
Wait what?!
No. I cannot let this happen again. Now I have the full strength of my powers he is at a even bigger risk. Also he is now forever bound to Aliyana. I must not forget that my duty comes first. The whole of Middle Earth is depending on me.
I was pulled out of my thoughts by Malya. I could tell she was distressed by something... she was warning me of something. I raised my head, only to regret it soon after. Legolas.
I quickly pulled my hood up once again, then rode to the stables were he was stood. He had his back to me and it looked as if he was tending to his horse Arod.
I dismounted Malya, then walked her over to a stable hand who was very close to Legolas. I stopped deciding not to risk him hearing me. I whistled to the stable hand whose head quickly shot in my direction, after beckoning him with my hand, he came running towards me.
"Take care of horse please. Give her all she needs." The stable hand nodded.
Slowly, I made my way towards the west entrance which was near the gates. Which also meant passing Legolas. My speed began to quicken as I neared him, so to try and get away as quick a possible.
Luckily I made it past him un-noticed, although when I reached the steps his voice filled the space.
"Stop!"
