Soaring high.

"So, where do you come from?" I asked Nathan, trying to make some light conversation and ignore the fact that I'm on a Vespa with my arms around him. It was the day after the whole Portal incident, the wind was blowing my hair into my face and I could feel his muscles contracting and relaxing beneath my fingers. The first week since getting my book had been with Anna, teaching me about Earth and Fire and now the second week -with Nathan- was drawing to a close. This was pretty much the last thing I needed to learn except how to fight and kick demonic ass.

"Renisna."

"But how come you fit in so well as though you've lived here all your life?"

"For the past 6 months, I've undergone training on how to fit in with humans and I just came here to get my book and experience life on Earth for a bit. I'm going back to Renisna to complete my training and so is Anna." He replied, his voice muffled by the helmet.

"What? But how come Anna didn't live in Renisna and then come back for her book before going back for training?" I shouted above the murmuring of the Vespa. My heart felt as though it had been torn out of my chest and then trampled on. How could Anna do this to me. I feel as though I've been cursed so that all my friends end up leaving me.

He tensed at my question."Most children complete the first part of their training here because their parents live here, mine don't." He answered so softly I could hardly hear him. This was a delicate topic I should try and avoid, I knew that so I kept quiet after that until he spoke again."We're here."

Here turned out to be one of the skyscrapers surrounding One Canada Square in Canary Wharf, more specifically the one that had HSBC written on it.

Nathan got of holding out is hand to help me off as well. He took his helmet of and shook out his hair, I gingerly did the same patting my waves pack into place.

Nathan flexed his fingers and flew to the top of the building while I watched in awe. He made it seem so easy, he made everything seem so easy. He flew back to the ground in the blink of an eye. I looked around nervously, what if someone saw us.

"We are invisible to our surroundings, no one can see us unless they have Guardian blood." He said confidently as though he just read my thoughts."Flying with Air is easier so we are going to start with Water, that is because once you can fly with Water, Air will be a piece of cake"

I could see the logic behind that. It was like with driving, once you can drive manual you are instantly allowed to drive automatic. "OK." Let's get this show on the road.

We were now both sitting on top of the building, our legs dangling off the edge. It had taken me a few attempts but it had come naturally. Nathan said it was odd for me to get everything do easily and it confused me too, but now, there was some thing else I wanted to know.

"Are your parents dead?" I asked Nathan though I knew I shouldn't have.

He nodded his eyes darkening to match the night sky. "Guardians are immortal but we can only have one child, it is impossible to get twins or give birth again but we don't mind. We are immortal after all. My parents were the best fighters ever. We live forever but we can still be killed." I reached out to touch his hand in a gesture of comfort and as our skin made contact I felt as though I was being pulled into a quicksand, unable to get out.

"Your parents were two of the 24 elders and the best warriors in Renisna. Because they were part of the Elders, they were much harder to kill and healed faster. The Chosen One was late and Lilith was angry. She wanted to get it over and done with, but the Chosen One wasn't there yet. The Chosen One was the only one who could kill her but they sent your parents because there was no other choice. Your parents were killed and brutally so. Their Seon was taken over by their Assistants. Every Elders have Assistants just in case they die. Anna's parents were your parents' Assistants. You promised to avenge their death and you will." I was speaking about something I didn't know about but I knew I was speaking the truth. It reminded me of my visions. Knowing things I shouldn't. I let go of his hand and the words that were coming so fluidly out of my mouth ceased.
