AN: Hello everyone, I am once again starting another story. Twilight has always been a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine I guess and during the recent lockdown I got the idea to write this story so I decided to just start writing and see where it lead me. I can't promise I will finish this story or that I will upload very regularly as I have about 3 other stories I have to work on but I have around 10 chapters of this story rewritten and depending on how much I will be working and my inspiration I may or not finish it. Also I now some of the information in the beginning of the story is not entirely true to the books but I decided to add/change it to make it fit in with my story better. The story starts between Twilight and New moon so my character, Elinor, has the time to get to know the Cullens before they leave. But anyway I hope you enjoy it and please vote and comment to let me know what you think.

Disclaimer: I do not own Twilight or any of its characters, I only own Elinor her family and any storyline and further characters that I make up.

Elinor McGrath remembered the smell of the woods she had loved so much when she was a little kid, running around in the summer always chasing after her brother and his friend. She loved La Push and all the people in it, the few weeks she got to spend there in the summer were always the best weeks of her life, that was until her parents and her aunt had a massive argument and they never returned to La Push. Now 6 years later Elinor was back but the place she had always loved had changed, it was now the place she was determined to hate more than anything. She didn't want to be in Forks, or in Washington for that matter, but unfortunately for her she had no choice. Her parents were dead and the only family she had, and who was willing to take her in, was her aunt who lived in an apartment in Forks. Elinor's parents, well she now she guessed, still owned a house at the edge of forks and her aunt had decided that it would be best for the two of them to move in there instead of living in her one bedroom apartment. Elinor knew why her aunt was so determined to move them out to her house, she was hoping that it would cheer Elinor up and make her less determined to leave Forks as soon as she graduated. Elinor had her mind set however, promising herself she only had to be there for 2 years and then she could go wherever she wanted, back to Texas or anywhere else. It wasn't that she didn't like Forks or La Push it was just that she didn't want to be there without her parents or her older brother. Deep down she knew very well that most of her anger was from the medication she was on to control the epilepsy she had been left with after the car crash, a permanent reminder that she survived but her family didn't. Starting at a new school for her junior year wasn't what she had in mind but at least she was lucky that the accident had happened at the end of her sophomore year and she would be starting in Forks from the start, not halfway through the year which would have been worse. Still she was bitter and determined to spend her two years alone, the less people she met, the easier it was for her to leave after graduation. It was stupid of her however to think she could spend two years without getting close to anyone or finding anyone to care about. Life had a couple more curveballs to throw at the sixteen year old however and it seemed like  was determined to get her to stay in Washington.

AN: This is the very short prologue and sort of extended summary, hope you like it so far and stay tuned for the next chapters which I will update very soon.
