Anjali's POV

The whole trip, I looked out the window, thinking. Since Vicky's arrival I often felt this warm, tingling feeling in me and there were also moments that made me very embarrassed. I haven't felt anything like that back then, and now, since I saw him again after three years, my body started to react differently. I was confused and afraid that the friendship I felt for him would slowly develop into something else.

"Are you all right? You are so quiet."  Vicky asked as he parked his car in front of the driveway.

"I'm fine. I think I'm just a little tired. It was also hard today, but I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for this wonderful day."  I thanked him and smiled softly.

"You don't have to thank me for that, little one. It was a pleasure."

We both got out of the car and went inside.

"You go to the living room. I'll be right there." He said and quickly disappeared into the bathroom.

I hung my bag on the coat hook and went into the living room. Just as I was about to turn on the TV, the doorbell rang.

"Who could that be?" I mumbled, put the TV remote back on the table and stood up from the sofa.

When I opened the door, my breath stopped.

"Sid!"

He was standing there, angry staring straight into my face with deep red eyes. Suddenly I felt fear because I knew what would happen now.

"Please, don't do anything wrong. I can explain everything to you." I tried to calm him down and slowly went a few steps back.

He walked up to me, roughly grabbed my hair and bent my head back.

"Aahhh!"  I screamed in pain.

He gazed into my eyes and I smelled that he had been drinking again.

"How dare you? Leave me a note at home and move in with him? I wouldn't have thought that of you. Or, have we become a little bitch now?"

I was shocked. How could he insult me like that?

"You'll come with me, now."

He let go of my hair, instead he grabbed me firmly by my arm and was about to drag me out when suddenly Vicky was standing behind us.

Vicky's POV

I was completely stunned when I came out of the bathroom. Siddarth had gripped Anjali by the arm and tried to drag her out of the house.

"Hey! She won't go anywhere! She stays here!"

Siddarth turned and looked at me as if he hadn't understood me correctly.

"Haven't you heard me!? I'll give you five seconds to leave my house!"  I shouted, showing him my five fingers to make it clear to him.

"No, Vicky. It's okay." Anjali said and tore herself loose from him.

"Siddarth is back. I'm just going to go get my stuff and go home with him."  I could tell by her eyes that she was scared and wanted to prevent the situation from escalating further.

"Who are you that you think you can interfere here?"  Siddarth shouted, pointing a finger at me.

"She is my wife! And if I say she's coming with me now, then she has to come with me!"

"Yes, she's your wife, god damn it, then treat her like that! Don't you see that you're hurting her, that she is afraid!?"

I was angry. I wanted to give him a good punch in the face but I had to hold back.
