Vicky's POV

3 Months has passed and I was looking for a new job in town. I planned to work nearby and submitted my application to various companies. When I went back to my car my phone rang. "Little One" appeared on the display. Why did she call me so early in the morning? She had never done that before.

"Good morning, little one. What gives me the honor that you're calling me so early?"

"Ha, ha, ha. Good morning to you too, Vicky. I'm calling because I want to invite you tomorrow for a small celebration and some relatives and friends will also come. So, I was making a list and thought to call you first, not to forget you and I hope you will be there too."

"That's okay but it isn't your parent's wedding anniversary, so what is actually being celebrated?"

"I won't tell you this on phone. Just see that you don't be late like always."

"Okay, okay. I will try to be there earlier."

"Fine, see you then tomorrow evening. Love you. Bye."

"Love y...(ou, too)"  I was about to say but she had already hanged up.

I sighted and put my phone away, got into my car and drove to the next company.

Anjali's POV

Next Day

I was standing in front of the mirror and took a last look at my make-up and saree when I felt two arms around my waist.

"How long do you want to look at yourself? You don't have to do anything anymore. Everything is perfect. You are perfect."  Sid said and put his head on my left shoulder.

I put my hands on top of his.

"You're just saying that now. You know what my colleagues are thinking. They're talking behind my back and say how such an ugly duck could fish the good looking engineer. Sometimes I think what you love about me?"

"Hey!"  He turned me over and held my face in his hands so I could look him straight in the eyes.

"Knock all of this out of your head. I don't want to hear that from you again. I am not with you because of beauty and wealth. I'm with you because of your inner values. I am in love with the person who is just the way she is and does not pretend to be someone else. The one who is kindness, nice and caring one . The one... who has the most beautiful heart."

I looked at him in surprise. Were the words he just said really true? No one had ever said anything like this to me before. This was the first time.

"Is this true?" My voice was like a mouse.

He slowly caressed my cheek with his thumb and nodded slightly.

"Anjali, I love you and I don't care about anything else." He said, smiling at me fondly.

My eyes filled with tears but not because I was sad. Quite the opposite, I was overjoyed. Finally there he was, standing in front of me. The man I was looking for and I had found him. I knew he was the one. My hands slowly led to his face and I looked deep into his eyes. I came closer and closer to him until I felt his soft lips on mine. I couldn't change it. I just had to kiss him. Suddenliy the doorbell bothered us. It must have been Vicky.

"Ah, that's definitely Vicky. Honey, you go to the salon room. I'll get there with Vicky in a minute."

"Okay."
