A New Adventure Awaits!

It was a calm, normal day in new Etheria.

You know? Etheria after Horde Prime.

Perfuma was helping Glimmer out with the palace garden, which needed work after Shadow Weaver... left. Scorpia was trying to rebuild her kingdom and Glimmer had sent workers there to help rebuild it.

Entrapta talked to Hordak about all the tech she found on Beast Island.

Mermista listened to Sea Hawk talk about the boats he set on fire, and Frosta was making snowballs and throwing them at unsuspecting guards in Bright Moon.

But it wasn't normal for Adora, Glimmer, Bow, and Catra.

They were packing.

It had been a month since Adora suggested they go around the universe, restoring magic to trouble or dying planets.

After making sure everything in Ehteria was ok, they were all set to leave and find the first planet that needed magic the most.

Adora wasn't sure what planet that was, but she figured Darla would tell them which planets were in bad shape.

She was a little nervous. Entrapta was staying in Etheria, so it would be up to her or Bow to drive the ship.

Entrapta built a little device that would track the ship and alert her if the ship needed attention, which she would relay to Adora, but Adora was still a little hesitant.

Things went well on Etheria, of course.

Adora was still worried, though. What if she could only turn into She-Ra on Etheria? What if the magic wasn't powerful enough to help the other planets? What if Catra got bored and scratched the ship's interior? Entrapta would freak out!

How does this magic even work? Does she just yell "For the Honor of Grayskull!" and expect magic to flow out of her? Will she have to make hand gestures? Will she know the right location to restore the magic?

So many doubts clouded her mind.

Catra opened the door.

"Glimmer and Bow are waiting outside," Catra said.

She wasn't thrilled about the trip, either.

She loved spending time with Adora, and Bow and Glimmer were growing on her, but she was half-cat. She was lazy. She didn't like going places. And she definitely didn't like meeting new people.

Adora wondered if maybe she should assure Catra that she had a choice, and could stay if she wanted to, but Adora knew that if she was going, so was Catra, and plus, she wanted Catra with her. Catra always made her feel strong.

Adora looked at Catra. Her short hair was getting a little longer, and Catra hadn't decided if she wanted to keep it short or let it grow out. Adora secretly hoped she'd keep it short.

"Are you ok, Adora?" Catra asked softly.

"I'm ok. Just a little nervous."

"I knew I shouldn't have left you alone after breakfast. I knew you would start overthinking everything..."

"How do we know this will even work, Catra? Maybe I should just tell Glimmer to call the whole thing off..."

"Adora, no." Catra said. She didn't want the trip, but she knew that if Adora didn't try, she would feel guilty. "Deep down, you want to do this... And I'm going. You're not going to abandon me again, are you?"

Adora knew she was joking, but that remark still felt like a stab in the chest.

"Of course not," Adora said.

"Great! Then let's go on that ship and go on one more big mission... As the best friend squad."

Adora smiled.

With Catra beside her, she knew that she could do this. Catra gave her strength. Catra gave her a reason.

"Now, come on. You know how impatient Sparkles is," Catra said. Adora laughed, thinking about the many times her friend acted on impulse.

Adora closed her suitcase.

"Ok. I'm ready," Adora said.

Catra offered her hand, and Adora took it.

They met Glimmer and Bow out in the courtyard.

Glimmer was saying her goodbyes to Micah and Frosta, and Entrapta was giving Bow a rundown on proper care etiquette for Darla.

Soon, they got on the ship and were on their way.

"Let's make this mission the best one yet," Glimmer said, a sparkle in her eye.

Adora, though still having doubts, smiled.

"We will," She replied, squeezing Catra's hand.

Here's the long awaited She Ra Fanfiction I promised to write.

If you were led here from my non- She-Ra fanfictions (I am a part of many fandoms and have two other fanfictions, one of which I mentioned this new fanfiction on) welcome back! If you found this because you're thirsty for She Ra fanfiction, welcome! This is kind of going to be a continuation of season five, and I know it's been done but stick with me and you'll see that mine is different. At the time I am writing this, She-Ra is definitely my hyperfocus. All fangirls have one! Or three. Or ten.

I already have the next two chapters in the works, so yeah, I'm pretty excited about this.

Anyway, full disclosure I have not read any other fanfictions that have the same idea as mine, so any similarities are purely coincidental. The fifth season kind of left an open end, with Adora suggesting a road trip, so I am going to go off of that. There will be a mix of chapters of Adora and the Best Friend Squad going around and making everything magical again, as well as chapters that will show what the other princesses are up to. Expect so much Scorpia. She's my favorite character.

Anyway, I guess I'll be working with at least one ship, because Catradora is my life. I can't really get behind Glimbow so I won't make any if their interactions romantic, but you guys can pretend they're together in this if you want. I mainly wrote this because I'm complete Catradora trash.

Also, I will have OCs for every planet chapter, so if you want to be included, let me know. Just give me your name, a little bit about you, your pronouns, and what you look like. If I don't get any OCs, I'll just make up my own. No biggie, I just want you guys to feel like you can be included. I will not ship you with anyone, since there are no extra characters on the ship. The other princesses stayed on Etheria.

Catra may be a little out of character, but I promise I am working on that.

Any feedback is welcome!
