All I Wanna Do | Danny Amendola

Chapter 7

I haven't been writing much due to working a lot. So there may not be an update next week!

** Danny's POV **

"I love you," my mom said with a smile as we arrived at the altar. "You'll be a great husband, Danny." She gave me a hug and kissed my cheek before taking her seat in the front row, next to my dad.

As I stepped up to the altar, my heart began to pump. My family members, teammates, Jamie's family members— her grandpa— and her friends looked back at me. I'd never felt so nervous to be in front of such a small group of people.

After what felt like an eternity, Julian slid through the doors with Katie. Julian looked perfectly put together for the first time in months. Thank god he agreed to shave after the season ended. He would've been a caveman for today— Then again neither Jamie or Penny would've allowed it.

Katie looked like her normal self— perfectly put together and ready to kick anyone's ass if anything went wrong. Even in the beautiful red bridesmaid dress Jamie chose for the girls.

As they approached me, the pair smiled. I nodded and watched as they broke their arms apart and Julian moved to stand next to me. "You ready to bawl your eyes out when you see her?" Julian joked as he lightly bumped our shoulders.

"More than ever..." I whispered. At this point it seemed like forever since I'd seen Jamie. I missed her more than what seemed humanly possible.

The wedding party kept moving, Gronk and Amelia, Tommy and Gisele, Jack and Penny, and then my brother carrying Leo. Leo was adorable. He had no clue what was happening, but as soon as he saw me and Julian, his eyes lit up.

Matt put Leo down once he was about 5 feet from us. Leo instantly darted toward me as he giggled up a storm. I squatted down as he held his arms out and wrapped my arms around him. "Hi Buddy!"

He smiled back at me as his blue eyes went wide. "Jam Jam pwitty," he told me.

I chuckled and smiled. "Of course! She's always beautiful!" I told him.

He lost interest in me and looked toward Jules before leaning over to be in Julian's arms. I chuckled.

I sucked in a breath as Lucca, my nephew, came walking down the aisle with the rings. This is real. So fucking real. It's happening.

He smiled up at me. "I'm excited to have an Aunt!" He told me as he got to the group.

I nodded. "I'm excited to have a wife," I told him with a chuckle and a wink.

My heart began to pound as the guitarist began to play. She was next. I couldn't wait to see her. In the 20 hours we'd been apart, I'd missed her more than I ever have. It's torture knowing you're right down the hall from the woman of your dreams and not being able to see her.

I stared down the aisle. Waiting. Just waiting for the doors to slide open. For her and her dad to be standing there, ready to make their way toward me.

My heart began pounding and my nose was becoming stuffy. This is the beginning of forever with her. The most beautiful, most sexy woman I'd ever known would be mine. She would be vowing herself to me and I'd be vowing myself to her.

After what seemed like an eternity, the doors finally slid open... There she was. In a beautiful white dress that fit her perfectly... My knees went weak.

I could go down at any second. Her and her dad passed a few words as they made their ways toward us. Tears began pulling from my eyes.

Those big brown eyes stared ahead at me as she tightened her grip on her dad. He'd never let her fall— just like I wouldn't.
